This has been occupying my thoughts extensively, and though this happened back in 2009/2010, my experience with Dr. Adler's office presented a mix of ethical and professional challenges that warrant consideration. While the medical services received were of high quality, an incident arose that shed light on crucial aspects of patient confidentiality and ethical practice within healthcare. After my visit, I faced a financial challenge regarding an outstanding deductible, which unfortunately led to the breach of my privacy. The disclosure of my financial information to my employer at the time, NYMI Associates, by the practice's owner, without my consent, raised significant concerns regarding patient confidentiality and privacy rights, an area governed by HIPAA regulations. The concern of Dr. Adler and my employer was not my care, but the damage my financial woes could do to the business partnership maintained by Dr. Adler and NYMI Associates. This breach of confidentiality was unexpected and undermined the trust and confidence I had in the practice. Needless to say, I never returned. Moreover, this incident highlighted the intersection of financial pressures and patient care within healthcare settings. While recognizing the importance of maintaining a viable business, it is equally imperative to uphold the ethical principles that underpin patient-provider relationships. Patients' financial circumstances should not compromise the sanctity of their private information or influence their access to care. As a suggestion for improvement, I encourage Dr. Adler and his staff to reinforce their commitment to patient confidentiality through staff training and clear protocols for handling sensitive patient information. Upholding ethical standards and ensuring patient privacy should be integral to their risk management strategies. I believe they have the potential to enhance its service by actively prioritizing patient confidentiality and maintaining ethical standards. By addressing these concerns, the practice can reinforce its reputation as a provider of exceptional care while fostering a trustworthy and respectful relationship with its patients. In conclusion, while my experience with the medical services was commendable, I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Dr. Adler and staff to further bolster their commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.

Was always in a rush, bad bedside manner. Very condescending.

He always made us feel like something might go wrong with pregnancy. We switched practices and we’re so glad we did.

I moved from FL to NYC 7 years ago and during the first few years I refused to leave my OBGYN of 10 years! I would fly back to FL to see her. When my husband and I started considering getting pregnant I decided to finally look for a Dr.in NYC. I found an office near my house and oh boy! I hated it. When I became pregnant I started to look for another doctor in hopes to find one I would like better, even if a bit because my expectations were so low at this point - I found Dr. Adler on Google and decided to give it a try: words cannot explain how happy I am to have found him and the practice he is part of. Dr. Adler is caring, respectful, and he listens! The office staff is always on top of everything and it’s actually weird to see how diligent they are (not usually the case with Dr. Offices in my experience).

If you are looking for a OBGYN, I absolutely recommend Dr. Adler and his office, I would give him more than five stars if I could. Thank you for making my pregnancy journey so easy and making me feel heard.

Great doctor! I had my first delivery with him and highly suggested.
He was respectful to my birth preferences (c section vs vaginal etc), direct communication style, and also able to communicated through Mount Sinai app, if i have questions between appointments.

Difficulties: he is almost always booked out, try to get appointments in two weeks advance, and if you are not one of the early appointments, be ready to wait additional 30 min.

Very thorough and personable. Dr Adler has been my OBGYN for two decades now and I’ve recommended their practice to many women.

Dr. Adler is one of the most caring and knowledgeable doctors I have had the pleasure of working with. His kind bedside manner is incomparable to any other doctor and the rest of the staff is just as kind and caring. I would 100% recommend Dr. Adler to anyone as an OBGYN!
