Been going there since it opened. Great eggplant parmesan. My go to spinach calzone place. They even have delicious steamed mussels. I live in jackson heights now, so I can't go as often as I used to. Open up another store over here.

Great service and good pizza. Not my favorite new York pizza but would recommend, was pretty good and in a fun area.

Went with my family and had a good time. If you're driving here, we did. Prepare to hunt for parking.

Been a loyal customer for over 10 years. One of my favorite slices in NY. Nothing like coming straight after work, sitting at the counter, eating a slice with a cold fountain soda while watching the game.

Placed today 8/20 an online order - food delivered timely, the meals ordered looked great including the Bolognese Pasta, Spinach Pinwheel, and Sausage Hero. Will order again and recommend it to everyone!

Great pizza, awesome burgers (better than some so called burger places) and awesome service. Definitely recommend. Wraps are very very nice too. Awesome fries. Chicken parm, nice.

Dry Pizza, Hard crust. Make sure to order a drink with your Pizza. Dont order the Coke because it's the knock off brand. I've had better 99 cents even 7/11 Pizza is better.

Place is nice, workers are friendly and attentive. But there pizza is not as good as it use to be. I also know based on a claim by a previous review that they haven't been at that location since the 60s. I was there in the 80s it was a bar called McGivneys.

Today i was in the mood for a Sicilian pizza. I went in most of the workers were on their phones with the phone in his hand he asked me what i wanted. I also ordered a chicken roll. The person making /preparing my order was talking on his phone the ear piece on his ear and the phone on his hand and also placing it under the counter and picking it up vise versa. Also touching the counter his face etc. He took the pizza out of the oven he paced it on the counter waiting for the chicken roll when all of a sudden i see him stiring the cheese in a bucket that was in with his hand going back on his cell and again the same while my pizza was on top of the counter not covered spitting on it while he was talking on his phone. I asked him to please place my pizza on the box. His answer! You want the chicken rool too right Ma'am? I repeated my self please place my pizza in the box and cover it. While the other guy that was taking the money was on his phone i said to him please make sure he washes his hands before mixing the cheese his answer was Ma'am do you know the temp of the oven? I took my order and left which i threw out because after seing what was goinh on on that place i really could not eat it. Beware customer! The law says use gloves when handling food. This place touches everything and then handles food in front of the customers with no worries! The reason i did not ask gor my money back and not take the food after what i saw was because i did not want to make a scene! You lost my Business!

The staff is friendly and the pizza was delicious… unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience. We had ordered gluten free pizzas because my daughter has a severe wheat allergy. The pizza was so good and did not taste like any other gluten pizza we’ve had we had to make sure it was gluten free (my daughter had finished a slice by then) after 3 confirmations that this was gluten free, the manager came out (hearing about my daughter’s allergy) and said there was a “mix up” and were in fact NOT gluten free. We ran out and rushed to the hospital. Please don’t advertise gluten free if you don’t serve gluten free - whether it’s a choice or an allergy, restaurants should respect people’s choices/consider allergens.

Good pizza, but consistently undercooked. Ask for "Extra EXTRA Well Done" if you expect any crispiness with your pie.

Very overpriced for what you get, pretty mediocre by NY standards. Takes forever on deliveries, arrives ice cold (I live 4 minutes away from the store and ordered during a slow time, there is not any excuse). If you are going to have to go in-person to get a simple pie Tufino around the corner is SO much better and about the same price, also has some nice vegan and gf options.

Been going to Alba's since I was little kid and it was my favorite pizza spot in Astoria. I have been randomly stopping in over the last few years and I can say it's still good but definitely has fallen off. I would give the regular slice 7/10.

Great pizza, great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. If you're in the Ditmars area of Astoria/LIC, and are craving pizza, pasta, or soup, do yourself a favor and go to Albas.

Alba's has been one of the neighborhood pizza staples for Astoria since the 1960s. From childhood birthday parties to after school slices with friends, to a quick order pickup for your family, this pizzeria feels more like an extension of your home than a business. And their pizza is a New York as you can get—light, airy crust, perfect blend of mozzarella cheese, large slices and great prices.

That being said, I've always taken Alba's for granted as just another good slice shop—that is until the vaccination mandates were initiated. This is because that despite the immense pressure they must have endured during this dark and illogical time, they remained one of the few indoor dining establishments to make the outcasts feel welcome.

Thank you, Alba's, for having courage and common sense, and for your years of service to the Astoria community.
