The rooms advertised are NOT what you get. Big upset. This hotel needs to upgrade to change their crappy bed mattresses, feels like you’re sinking down in the middle of the middle, work up with a crazy back ache. Not an ample amount of time given to get breakfast, no complimentary condiments. Just not a good look.

The hotel is nice, room is cozy but old heather is not hot enough. Front desk very rude the staff who speaks Spanish 2 boys, they laugh of people with speaks Spanish, I speak Spanish, English and French, I was international flight attendant and I am studying business in aviation. The lady in front desk said she is the manager and she yelled me because I asked for my stuff forgotten in the room, she doesn’t look at me while talking and she yelled bye bye with his hand and she said go out and laughed. I asked for a designed umbrella left in the bar and she said she doesn’t know who cleaned yesterday and she doesn’t care. The guy who is in the mornings same is very rude he is making faces and pretending he doesn’t talk Spanish and he doesn’t understand English and he complains about sending the housekeeper for a cleaning with vacuum. Bartenders, karaoke and music staff super kind.

I booked a stay at this hotel which I canceled 3 days before my arrival. Despite this, I was debited from the bill. I made several complaints to the hotel without ever being heard. The director never responded to my emails and never wanted to take me on the phone. I consider this unacceptable from a manager who is only on his business card. It took several interventions from MARIOTT's customer relations department and ten months for this very bad faith director to reimburse me. I strongly advise against this hotel for the unprofessionalism of its staff.

Kim at the Front Desk was wonderful! She deserves a paid beach
vacation! Great hotel location with restaurants all around.

Canceled the reservation a day before, but the hotel refused to refund us after 3 months of back-and-forth! Hotel initially AGREED to issue full refund. After 3 months of “communication” and waiting, still have NOT resolved. Can’t believe the staff are actually trained to work. We talked (both over the phone and in person) to the hotel managers more than 10 times and they just don’t seem to have any ability to solve this problem. Asked us to wait a few days every time when we reached out. But never resolved. NO efficiency at all. Didn’t provide any form of documentation of the problem during the whole process. Every time when we reached out again, we had to explain the whole issue over and over again and talked to different staff and tried to help them to be on the same page.

The last time we spoke to Kimberly, the manager, about this matter was on December 5,2023, when she stated that the refund had been issued from her end. But once again, we had not received anything from the hotel.

It has now been over 3 months since the original reservation and we still have not received the refund. This is unacceptable, especially as we already spoke to Kimberly (one month ago), who confirmed this would be done.

2 days ago, we once again, reached out to the hotel about this issue. Kimberly, the manager, responded that they couldn’t issue the refund, and she lied obviously! So we didn’t stay a single night, they charged us $750!

I had the best time here and this place looks exactly like the pictures. The staff was absolutely amazing and funny. Clean, super friendly staff and wonderful amenities. The hotel is in a nice area with plenty of food choices nearby.

Great staff from the bar taking us while they were closing, to Robert who was welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond what was expected of him. Shout out to Robert and Kiki for their energy during check out as well. Rooms were spacious, good view, nice shower.

We spent 6 nights at the Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View hotel during Christmas and our stay was great. Upon check in Robert, Kiara Guzman and Kiara C greeted us warmly and welcomed and thanked us for choosing the hotel to host us during our holiday break. The staff was filled with the holiday spirit and you can tell as they were able to graciously upgraded our room for a city view.

Our room was what you expect from an aloft property, minimal, clean comfy! The cleaning staff was on their game and turned down our room every afternoon.

We chose this hotel due to the proximity to MTA, it is perfectly located and were able to get around quickly

Thanks again to the staff at Aloft, we'll see you soon:)

Checked In; given a room that was being used! No mgr on duty during the holiday. Same person was working night and day shift. So disturbing to walk in to a used room. Due to the privacy of the people in their room, I wont post any photos of their belongings.

We were greatest at the door by Kim, she was very welcoming and helpful, helped us with our bags and resolved an issue with our credit card (bank blocked it). Room is comfortable with a great view, definitely recommend! Thanks Kim

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THIS IS SUCH A HORRIBLE HOTEL. THEY MISLEAD YOU BY SAYING IT HAS A CITY VIEW. BUT IT DOESN’T. EVERY DOOR SLAM YOU CAN HEAR FROM YOUR ROOM. VERY HORRIBLE HOTEL WITH NO VIEWS. THE STAFF IS ALSO VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY CHECKED IN OTHER GUESTS WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM, WE HAD SOMEONE ELSE WALKING INTO OUR ROOM WITH THEIR KEY CARDS. NEVER RETURNING BACK.

We had a wonderful stay this Christmas weekend at Aloft. The room is more spacious than the picture lets on, and the hotel feels fancy yet low key. Location is also good, with subway and shops around the corner. Perfect! Bed was a bit too soft for my taste though. A special shoutout to Kimberly for all her hospitality and kind attention to detail - she made our stay. We will be back, and so will our friends:)

This hotel had actually several benefits:
* Location: very easy to get to from JFK. Even easier to get to Manhattan. The station is literally 1 building away.
* Room: it was very clean, everything worked, it had a safe and a mini fridge.
* Decent Wi-Fi: I don't know why it is still an issue for some hotels, not for this one.
* Great front desk staff: thank you, fast check-in, fast check-out. The hotel sent me a folio receipt in the email, which is also very convenient.
* It has a roof patio where you can go to have a look at some skyscrapers.
* They have power outlets which actually allow you to use your charger, it's the worst when they put the outlet on a bedside lamp and you cannot actually use it.
The bed in our room was comfortable.
I would not say that it is the quitest hotel I have been to, but we got some sleep.
There is also a bar in the hotel.
I'd definitely recommend this one, we'll keep it in mind for when we're going to New York and flying in via JFK.
Mind that there is currently construction in progress right in front of the hotel. Our room was looking directly at it and we did not actually get any discomfort from it.

There are great restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Perfect for getting into the city
There is also a nice roof terrace with a great view

Ok, I do stay in tons of Marriott properties, and Aloft is the brand that is mostly adequate for my taste. I stayed at this property several years ago, and decided to stay there again for few nights, as all my go to hotels in Midtown Manhattan had unreasonably high rates. The rate was reasonable, the service was friendly, if a bit too casual, but I won't stay there again. One of my main criteria is a quality of sleep, and it was downright horrible. First of all, there is huge construction site on all sides of hotel, and they start early and often (like 6-7 am), and very loud. The street is so noisy at night, and there are tons of emergency vehicles, sirens, honking, and isolation is too poor in the room. Add to it an ancient and loud heating system. So, in a nutshell, if you can sleep through all this, by all means it is ok hotel to stay, but not for me.

Cute Hotel with tiny Balconies and a lively Hotel Bar that has Karaoke on Tuesday. Guests had really fun. Plus points for the coffee machine in the room although they have machines downstairs too.

The room came for a great last minute price, however deep cleaning could have been better. Finger spots on the balcony door, HVAC vents are dirty and there was some strange smell. Not sure if it was from the last guests or from the outside, but had to open the balcony door for a while when I came in.

Overall probably a good choice not too far from Manhattan for touyrist or for last minute business visitors like me that like to keep the price In a Budget.

Very clean, attentive staff. Balconies are super small with a view of construction across the street.

The reason I gave it 4 stars was because the temperature thing was broken in our room and someone didn’t come to fix it until the day before we left it was my second time staying at this hotel, the location is great for seeing the city skyline from the rooftop
