Mediterranean Restaurant Amaranth reviews
10My wife and I went here for dinner last night after some impromptu shopping. I made a reservation but we were squeezed in next to a table of 7, so we could barely hear each other. While the lobster ravioli was tasty, it was $37 and only came with FIVE raviolis. We also ordered the artichoke hearts which usually come roasted and provide a hearty vegetable dish. Theirs came out as a cold paste the consistency of tuna salad. My vegetarian wife wasn’t thrilled. It too was way overpriced for some shredded artichokes and mayo essentially. Those were an unpleasant surprises. That said, the service was lovely as was the ambiance (save the loud table not 1 foot from us), but the food was way overpriced in my humble opinion.
Best food on the UES! The tuna tartare? Unbelievable. Friendly staff. I've been going for years.
Lovely experience as always. The staff are very attentive and the meals, cocktails, and desserts are delicious
The food is desired and horrible and we do not even need to speak please the owner of this restaurant review its staff. BAD EXPERIENCE
This place has become my neighborhood go-to spot. Great service, solid and consistent food and a relaxed atmosphere make this one of my favorite spots for lunch or dinner.
I read some reviews on this place that mentioned it was too expensive. I didn't think it was expensive in comparison to the surrounding restaurants.most of NY is expensive.needless to say, I was very impressed with the food it was delicious. The place filled up inside and outside. That's gotta tell you something. I was there with my chef friend and he is going back again. It's definitely a must try.
Terrific neighborhood restaurant. Mediterranean menu with a nice wine list. I always get the chicken paillard and tri-color salad. They also serve pasta, meats and fish. A nice, comfortable place on the UES.
Really enjoyed the food, I would say the best on the upper east side, locals already know this so if you’re in town definitely give it a shot. Service is extraordinary you feel very welcomed and I guarantee you will be adequately taken care of. On top of that the focaccia is a must if you decide to stop in!
Disgusting restaurant or super arrogant people PLEASE THE OWNER SHOULD REVIEW WHO HE HIRE! Urgent
