AMC Fresh Meadows 7 reviews
20I’ve been going to this theater for the past 5 years and it is the best theater in Queens. One for the cleaner, if not the cleanest theater in the area. Nice reclining seats, and all viewing angles are solid.
I wish they would have built an AMC in flushing instead of the regal they just opened… AMC owns that Regal with its IMAX experience and overall theater experience.
I’ve been coming here for years and once they opened the IMAX theater, it only got better. It’s farther away from me, however it’s worth the trip.
Went there to see the new Spider-Man movie No Way Home. The movie itself was really good. Only problem I have is that the price for a popcorn and drink is unbelievable. Yes it’s at a movie theater but for about $18 for a large popcorn and drink it’s a bit much. Other than that it’s like every other movie theater.
Great place to bring your family to watch movies good food options not crowded and the staff is great the first time I had a little problem the manager in charge was extremely helpful and courteous.
I want to say this theater has improved alot with the seats, bathroom and the consessions. The bathroom use to look god awful but I was really impress on how great it look. This was my home theater when I was in high school but I might come here for a few more movies
Fully reclining chairs. Assigned seats. Relatively easy check-in process. Clean theater. Big parking is always a plus. Now the con. Chairs are breaking apart. Some seats are sticky. Bathroom only on one floor, so you have to run down if you need to go during the movie.
Everything was perfect except the fact that the recline option on my chair was broken. The movie started so I didn't bother to ask if we could switch.
I would like to thank the crew that worked the night of 10/25/21, between the hours of 9pm-11: 30pm. I had a first date with a guy who turned out to be a total creep. The crew made me feel safe and kept me away from him until he had exited the building and left.
You have no idea how much I appreciate this. Thank you
The comfortable recliners, fresh popcorn, friendly staff, clean theater and restrooms are always a plus
Nice theater and worth the trip if you're closer to the city. Smaller theater generally so recommend seats near the back when reserving
How come is more important to show proof of covid19 vaccination prior to show your ticket? Eventhough i'm fully vaccinated and anyway was going to be shown after the redemption of my movie ticket.
Plenty of parking, nice staff, great seating. One of the chairs I sat in was malfunctioning and so that dropped the score a little. Had great experience except for some of the audience that were in attendance were too noisy.
My favorite place to watch movies. This is the only place I go. The seats are comfortable and the place is clean. With Covid they do ask for your vaccine cards and ID
Great theater with just the right amount seats. The place was clean and the concession stand had your usuals overpriced popcorn and unlimited self refill soda. Plenty of parking spaces and Hooter is right next door!
Hands down the best popcorn ever! Their seats recline allll the waaay back and are super comfortable. Parking is available and it's next to Hooters. I heard their fries are amazing. I'm looking forward to giving them a try for the Spider-Man release!
This theatre is well-maintained and I enjoy coming here. There's ample parking, which can't be said about other theatres in Queens.
This place has theatres located upstairs and downstairs.
In regards to cleanliness, it seemed good. As nothing was noticeably unclean.
For the food, it is quite expensive, so I usually do not order food when I visit here.
As for the movie viewing experience I will separate my experiences between IMAX, and not IMAX (Digital).
The digital viewing experience was good, in my opinion. The screen was big, but nothing impressively big. The sound of the movie through there speakers was loud and present. However, it seemed like one of the speakers was buzzing, in my experience. The chairs was great, as they recline back and it can be very relaxing. My friend even fell asleep one time, haha.
As for my IMAX experience, it wasn't too good. The screen seemed similar to the digital screen, as I was expecting the IMAX screen to be much bigger. The sound experience was the same as the digital experience. As for the chairs, for some reason, the chairs do not fully recline. This left me and my friend in a weird position, almost like "halfway reclined". This eventually caused our necks to hurt halfway through the movie to the end. This wasn't a pleasant experience. The recline buttons on the chair wasn't responding too much either, as they required multiple presses in order to work.
The staff seem good too. However, I can recall that for my IMAX experiences, the guy that checked us in was definitely "stoned", as his whole face seemed way too relaxed, and he seemed "out of it". However, I don't count that as a bad experience, as it was mostly a funny experience, in my opinion.
Overall, a good movie theater. However, if you ask for my opinion/recommendation, I would rather go for the non-IMAX experience, than the IMAX experience, specifically for this location.
In NYC this is the first AMC theater I appreciated. I visited so many AMCs from different states and ofcourse there are other AMCs better than here. This place check covid vaccination. However I never noticed someone doing after cleaning in between movies just like other AMCs. There's one escalator going up but nothing for going down. They don't have much option for food and beverage just very basic, popcorn, soda, hotdogs. Overall, I recommend this place compared to other AMCs in new York city.
The imax was loud to the point where I was covering my date's ears and it was waaaaay too cold. She left 3/4 of the way through for a bit just to regroup.
Present your vaccination proof and ticket in order to enter.
Lots of parking in the back
Food and stores nearby.
Escalator up to theaters.
Promotional displays are cool sometimes.
Clean bathrooms in basement.
IMAX (theater 4) is in the basement at the back.
Pretty average theatre unfortunately. AMC know this one need big renovations soon. They also need to hire younger, friendly, smiling, decent looking greeters and gate keepers badly.
