American Fence, Schenectady NY

Jim installed an 8 foot cedar fence today. It looks lovely and provides the privacy we need. He was friendly, worked quickly and answered all our questions. Most certainly would recommend him! Even helped to push my automobile out of a snowbank when he was finished!

Overall great experience! Jim was super responsive when I called and gave me a quote right on the spot, which was far more reasonable than other quotes I received. He was truthful about his expectation for scheduling and arrived on time and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I’d highly recommend them!

Jim came out and repaired a chain link that a tree had fallen onto. He was very friendly, and his work was very good. When we were going to get a winter storm on the original appointment date he even moved our appt to a day earlier so we could get the repair done!

Jim was great to work with. I was under contract with another fencing company that fell through. I called Jim to see if I could get set up first thing in the spring. He came out that day, gave us a quote and said he could have it completed the following week. He was true to his word and very easy to work with. His crew was great and efficient and not only am I thrilled with the finished product but our dogs are enjoying the freedom! I highly recommend Jim and his crew.

They were able to install 250' of aluminum fence and 2 gates in one day. The work was high quality, fast, and the team was friendly and professional. It was great working with them and I would highly recommend going with American Fence.

We needed 1 side of our fence replaced. They were very responsive and came to do the estimate when they said they would. On the day of installation, they were here 15 minutes early (!) and the job was completed in 2 hours. The old fence was hauled away and the yard was left neat. Very professional & friendly.

I called four fence companies to get an estimate for my fencing project. I didn't back from two and one gave me an emailed quote without looking at our property. Jim came out for our appointment, walked the property, took measurements and gave us a quote. We hired Jim and he showed up on time with his crew, in fact one short that day. They installed the fence as quoted, they did a beautiful job, cleaned up and were on their way. I would absolutely use American Fence again and highly recommend them.

Jim was very quick to contact us and get us a very competitive quote. They took care of the permit process and scheduled the installation very quickly. They showed up on time, installed ornamental aluminum on the sides of the house and black chain link around the entire backyard around our pool and deck. The entire job was completed in a day and a half and looks great! I would recommend Jim and his crew to anyone looking to have fencing installed.

Returned our initial inquiry promptly, came out with an immediate quote and replaced all wood panels. Looks great - very nice crew!

I wanted to trust and rely on Jim, but to my surprise, I was duped. I had to get the permit (no issues there) and then call 811 (which he said he would do) and then found out (only thru my contacting him) that he had changed the install date again. When I expressed my displeasure his response was “not my fence, not my problem”.
