Its a nice one. There are not many interactive exhibits - which is a pity, else has a diverse array of collections. Something for everyone. You would be in trouble if your group is diverse like mine. Strike a balance. Doing eveything will be hectic since the layout is confusing. The app helps, but is not the best. Overall - nice, but could be better with interactive displays and better layout/map/guided path. Else would get a 5 star.

This lady wearing a pink T shirt on July 4th is extremely unprofessional to people. She kept yelling at people, wth.

By far one of my favorite museums of all time and this is coming from a person who has been coming here for about 15 years. My kids even enjoy this place.

Well, despite the fact that my young children are probably more excited about the building itself than about what it contains, the AMNH continues to be a remarkable resource and a beautifully maintained institution. We absolutely love visiting the museum.

A MUST if you go to NYC, you can't leave NYC if you didn't visited. Ask for a Pay what you want entry, check if that option is avaliable the thay you visit and you can enter paying 1€.

Another great NYC museum. You can easily spend the whole day here and not see everything. So many exhibits, so many building wings. Definitely a little something for everyone. Make sure you have good footware on, lots of walking, standing and reading. Loved this place, architecture is pretty amazing as well.

This is a fantastic museum and experience for adults and kids, alike. They have countless attractions spread out over multiple buildings and exhibit halls. You can easily dedicate a day here. Staff are very helpful and the facilities are phenomenal.

Never enough time! The planetarium is a must! Some attractions will require a separate ticket, but they’re definitely worth it. Come with time and comfortable shoes.

My all time favorite museum. Can spend hours in there and get lost every time! The dinosaurs are one of the best part aside from the ocean exhibit with the giant whale. Definitely a great place to spend with family but bring your own lunch because the cafe is pricey.

Cool museum especially if you're into nature, animals and history. Some parts can feel a bit outdated but I would definitely go again. The dinosaur exhibitions are the best!

We have not encountered not one employee of the museum who was courteous polite. In the cafe we spent $64 for a family of 4 and then wandered around for 5 mins looking for a place to eat while there were two sections of the seating area closed off to customers for no reason at all. In fact 2 employees were seated having their lunch and we were turned away. It wasn't until I called the manager over that the barrier was removed. On top of that the food was awful and everything including the trays counters and floors were dirty. The next rude encounter was at the planetarium to watch deep space when an employee responded to my husband "I just need you to answer my question. " When he was trying to explain that he didn't want to stand for the photos. The line to enter the museum in general was way long and we had to listen to the cashier yell at the customers to step up. In general we had a terrible experience given all the rude employees, subpar cafe, and the costs of admission and food.

I echo the words of many, you will not see everything in a single day. This place is massive and full of awesome things! It is pay what you want so you don't need to pay suggested price if you're looking for general admission. This will not get you into special exhibits or movies. If you have a city pass you can skip around the main queue and go through the sometimes shorter city pass queue. These are usually set up on the outside edges of the main room. Don't be a cheapskate and give a penny. The lady at the counter said $5.00 a person is great, it's the people who pay a penny that are looked down on. So, don't feel bad paying what you can! (Don't be too cheap, folks).

Great space, very clean, staff were efficient and friendly. The kids loved the dinosaur bones. They are pretty young so it wasnt really set up for them. I really like taking them to educational outings. My suggestions: and there is a lot of room to upgrade. I would have an interactive room for young kids, dinosaur bones that they can connect, a dinosaur slide. A sand box with the special sand. With dinosaur bones, fish, butter flies, star shapes to make impressions in the sand. A movie meant for the toddler age. With a mini cafeteria just for the young age group.sandwich cut outs. Dino's, fish, stars, birds. Gets the kids imagination running. There is really no limit to entertaining kids, and I feel that by starting young will help foster the science mindfulness in kids.

Very nice museum. Typically very busy on weekends and holidays. If possible visit during the week. They have special exhibitions that cost a lot extra but they are usually very very good and worth the extra large cost. Entry tickets are for a specific time but you can stay as long as you want. NO re-entry! Dinosaur exhibition is very interesting, educational and impressive, it spans a whole floor of the museum. Also the smaller exhibition about earth on the ground floor is incredible, interesting, educational and well made. See there many real They Came From Outer Space including one that fell and hit a car in nearby Peekskill New York.
