Americas Best Value Inn New Paltz reviews
16 Booked two rooms here for the affordable price. The rooms very clean. Walls were thin. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room.
Cons: No elevator. Just stairs to the 2nd floor. Television has less channels than other hotels we’ve been to.
Pros: Free continental breakfast with basic toast, frozen waffles, yogurt, cereal and instant oatmeal.
Highlight: The BEST hot beverage machine for coffee, hot chocolate and French vanilla milk.
Service: I wouldn’t say it was the friendliest service to greet us at the front desk, but it wasn’t bad. We got what we needed.
The place to stay when in/around New Paltz. Been staying here once a year for several years now. Wonderful staff, especially Gail! Safe, comfortable rooms, and nice morning buffet.
The service here is absolutely top-notch. Denise, in particular, went above and beyond to help during our stay! I've never stayed at a hotel with such friendly staff. Consider staying here during your visit to New Paltz.
Was on a road trip from Maine back home to SC, when I had a problem with a run flat tire. Had to find a place to stay for the night while they worked on the car. Luckily came up on ABV in New Paltz. Reasonably priced, good location and clean room. Best part was Gail Perkinks-Schaller, director of sales. She was at the desk when I checked in and graciously listened to my tale of woe, with interest! Next day she was there again and allowed me an extra hour after 11am check out until my car was ready. As a single 67 yr old female traveler, her kindness and concern were greatly appreciated. Thanks Gail!
Sorry for the delay in posting this.

The room quality although clean did not warrant the nightly price.the A/C although cooling was not taking the humidity out. It felt like we were sleeping on a wet towel but unfortunately we realized this too late in our stay to correct
Clean, mostly comfortable, Room had a slight peculiar odor. Also, not very sound proof. I'm a light sleeper and I was hearing people talking in the hallway during the night. Also lots of footsteps in the room above
The room was a bit small, but very clean! Even the complimentary breakfast was full of options and extremely clean. I would definitely stay here again. I appreciate the attention to cleanliness.
Guy who helped me was chill. Room is clean. Hotel is quiet but near highway. In a safe area and there are cameras everywhere. Complimentary breakfast is minimum.
Bed and pillows are not very comfortable though, didnt really get a lot of sleep. And that's really the main reason I came here.
We stayed here for 6 days and it worked perfectly for us. All staff were friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff…doing lots of cleaning and it showed. Our room was always cleaned and supplies replenished when needed. I commented to my husband how nice it is to see a
Business “on their game”. We had a special request and they accommodated. For the price, it’s better than other places we’ve stayed. Will be happy to stay again if/when need be. Gail at front desk = A+.
I've seen some disappointing reviews about this place and honestly don't know why. The staff was amazing, the room was nice, furnished, clean and comfortable. If I really think about what I would change, it's nothing really. I will be going back next time I'm down there. Cheaper than the Hampton/Hilton next door, and very welcoming.
My wife and I stayed here for a night when we attended a wedding near New Paltz. The room was exceptionally clean, the front desk workers were very nice and helpful. It was a decent place to stay for the night.
The only thing that maybe could be different is the price of the room. It was 300 for the night. I understand there were a lot of weddings in the area that weekend so this could have been a factor, but while the room was clean and the workers cordial, it was not a 300 a night room by any means.
Customer service is great. Kinda over priced room rates. The rooms look good but on close inspection they fail. Morning breakfast is very poor, don't waist your time, just sleep in.
Very clean and the desk clerk Colleen was very nice and helpful. The rooms are nice with mini fridge and microwave. Close to places to eat and close to Thruway.
Every time we stay there it's a wonderful experience.the best place to stay.

It has beds. The TV was somehow impossible to use.
I could find a channel in a language I could understand except law and order
The beds are extremely hard. There are absolutely no power outlets to use. You have to unplug the tv, microwave or coffee maker just to have an open power outlet. We had to check out an iron and an ironing board, and the ironing board was broken. I would recommend paying the extra money to stay at the nicer Hampton Inn across the street
