Indian Restaurant AMMI reviews
16 Both biriyani and curry chicken rice are the same. They just dip the chicken inside the rice in the curry chicken meal.
But, nevertheless, the Quality n the quantity are sufficient for the price.
Generous portions, well priced for NYC and most importantly the dosa was absolutely delicious and authentic as it packed some real heat.
Food is fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed it after our walk
Repeat customer at Ammi. Best dosas in NYC. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are warm and accommodating. A must try when visiting Pier 57.
Masala Dosa Potato subji, sambhar and chatney are too spicy.
Even in India it is much less spicy.
Just could not eat Dosa.
We are from India, and we literally had the best Indian food, better than one can find in India.
Chef Ganesh made us really great dosa and pav bhaji. Lip smacking crispy ghee roast dosa with a layer of onion and spicy podi/karam masala paired with tangy sambhar. Pav bhaji was also outstanding with tangy and spicy flavours. Great work Ammi restaurant. Thanks to chef Ganesh for customising food taste as per our request. #greatfood #happiness
Food was excellent. Would highly recommend to try dosa. Ganesh is a skilled chef and does his job perfectly!
Amazing Indian food, we had the masala dosa, biryani and gulab jamun and everything was amazing. I was missing good Indian food in Chelsea and this hit the spot:) it was reasonably priced too, we could barely finish the biryani since the portion was so large.
What a great surprise! My first time at the Pier 57 Food Hall. Beautiful space. The Chicken Briyani was perfectly spiced. My only criticism is that they didn't have salt or pepper and no ice for my drink. Definitely coming back!
We ordered Masala Dosa, Aalu Samosa and Aalu Paratha. Every item was very spicy hot, too much chilly. Except for Dosa, which was freshly made and crispy, all other items seemed to be frozen food (bought from super market) and heated before serving to customers.
If I go again, I will not order anything else other than Dosa at this place.
So delicious! Im glad I stopped by to get food here. The dosa is $12/$14 dollars. The workers were so nice! The dosa smelled so good, and the filling was tasty. This dish has a great blend of spices.
Delicious, flavorful and fresh. The sauces on the sides meld so well with the dish. Portion sizes are large! Definitely recommend
The best chicken curry I have ever eaten! Absolutely delicious and perfect rice too. Would 100% recommend!
Very yummy. Felt like homemade food. And the ambiance is nice on an afternoon about 2pm. I got the potato dosa and my mother got the curry chicken. Great portion as well. Highly recommend!
I was recommended to try the Paav Bhaaji and it was delicious! Loved the Mango Lassi drink as well! Thank you for a delicious meal:)
I love this place. Everything from Dosa to samosa and lassi to slushy has an authentic Indian taste. The quality of food and service is excellent here, totally worth the buck.
I love dinning at Ammi. The staff here are extremely friendly. Vamika is kind enough to offer me advice for my Indian manager’s work anniversary gift, and Ganesh is so generous that he gives my friend and me some free Chicken Tikka 4 minutes before the closing of the store. In addition, we love the mango lassi here. It’s irresistibly delicious. I highly recommend this smoothie to anyone~
