Ampersand Mountain Trailhead reviews
7A really fun and easy hike to a beautiful sommet, I did it with my girlfriend who had a sprained ankle, we got to the top in an 1h40. Would have given it 5 stars, but my girlfriend didn't stop whining and crying because her ankle hurt, she really killed the vibe.
The view from the top is worth the work you need to put in. It gets very scrambly near the top and you might get lost but push through and reap the reward.
PLEASE be careful coming in/out of trailhead. People go fast and don’t slow down.
This is a great trail. I would say moderate for hikers. Hard if you are not used to mountain hiking or regularly active. Wonderful summit.
1/3 of the trail is quite steep, but great view at the top and beautiful mossy forest on the way are rewarding.
The 360 degree VIEWS are absolutely amazingly beautiful! Muddy and wet but the trails are marked well. I would say it was relatively easy but the last quarter of a mile you hit rock scrambles which aren’t a walk in the park but decent.
Man that hike was steep, and we are experienced hikers. We had a little trouble with our Golden Retriever, but we managed to get him over a rocky section. It took 1hr 45min to get up and just a little longer for the descent. It was tough, but BOY IS IT WORTH IT! Just make sure you have plenty of time for plenty of breaks. The view at the top is worth every sweat and tear.
2.7 miles hike starts off easy the. Becomes very hard. Took us 3 hours to get on top. And hour 45 min to get down. Most beautiful 360 view on top with a lot of lake views around. Beautiful. Was worth it after you up there. Bring a lot of water!
