I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where our friend Snezana works, and despite her absence, we were warmly taken care of by her colleagues. The restaurant offered a delightful restaurant week menu featuring three courses for just $30, which we paired with a delicious green wine. The staff provided impeccable service, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. While we missed seeing Snezana, her colleagues ensured that we had a great time.

We went to this nice tavern for lunch, welcoming staff
Very good food, I recommend the Greek pasta, a rich pasta dish with vegetables and feta and the chocolate cake as dessert, fantastic!
For seven of us our bill was $280.00
Super recommended

Online shows that the restaurant closes at 10: 30pm on a Wednesday but the waitstaff were rushing us to leave and finish up at 9: 45. If your posted hours are 10: 30pm then let us stay until 10: 30pm without rushing us out. This is why I picked your restaurant because your posted hours were later than others in the area.

Isanassa Taverna, a Greek restaurant, offers a truly memorable dining experience. From the moment I entered, the service was exceptional, with staff members exuding a pleasant and welcoming demeanor. Their attentiveness and warmth significantly enhanced the overall ambiance. The food was a highlight, capturing the essence of authentic Greek cuisine. Each dish I tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and left a lasting impression. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere makes Isanassa Taverna a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Greece or simply looking for a delightful meal in a friendly setting.

Authentic upscale Greek cuisine with terrific cocktails and wine list. The salmon tartare appetizer is a perfect version of this classic, though not cheap at $28. Greek salad, large enough for 2-3, is fresh and deliciously dressed. Spanakopita too was yummy. The Avgolemono soup needed a squirt of lemon. Shrimp cocktail sported the largest peeled shrimp I've ever seen. Try the Greek wines; my white was exquisite. And leave room for dessert - we didn't, so will have to return!

We came for a work lunch. The food was great. The service was very good for a group that was supposed to be only 6, then quickly jumped to 10 at the last minute. They were very accommodating for the last minute change during a very busy lunch service.

I can tell that Anassa is usually probably good (when it’s not packed), but last night a lot of things went wrong. I clearly stated I had a bell pepper allergy and one of the items we got had bell peppers in it and it wasn’t flagged for me. Thankfully I only had a small amount. The front desk staff wasn’t very friendly and a bit combative actually. My friend felt the same way when we were comparing notes after. I asked to use the restroom and was told there wasn’t one downstairs (when the waiter had let me know there was), they kept insisting I go upstairs and I said I would like to wait for the downstairs one and avoid the stairs (since I had sprained my ankle earlier that week). It was an unnecessary tension and awkwardness for no reason — they were clearly trying to imply that there was no restroom right next to them. Very odd. I got the octopus which tasted like it’s probably usually good, but it was completely cold when it arrived. I could tell that the night was likely short staffed since I had to ask for lemon for my water at least 4 different times. Anyway, the restaurant fell below usual dining standards for me last night, unfortunately. Reallyyy wanted to love it. The ambiance was quite lovely though. Definitely a nice date night spot on a less crowded night.

The most unwelcoming snotty staff ever! I made a mistake about asking if I could order the lunch special that was posted on the window, and the waiter looked at me like I asked him for free food as if I were homeless. He then explained that it was only Monday through Friday, which makes no sense since the sign was up, bright, and early on a Saturday. The way that the hostesses looked at us when we walked in down to his nasty attitude had us walk out. I’d rather eat at McDonald’s than at this place.

Excellent lunch choices. Make a reservation because the restaurant gets busy at lunch and dinner time. I recommend the salmon if you enjoy fish. Pricing for midtown Manhattan is quite reasonable.

We had a great experience! The food was spectacular! What made our meal better was Anthony’s service. The waiter Anthony recommended the right plates and answered all our table’s questions. His recommendations and his kindness was what made the restaurant cozy and memorable!

Nice place located on the corner of 60 St. With a nice nightlife and a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, it works by reservation but they granted us a table without much problem

Food was good just very disappointing when nowhere on the website it is mentioned that lunch pre-fix is not available on the weekend and you came for exactly that

Went to Anissa for lunch today (Sunday), actually I came to get a prefix lunch (which is listed on the website). Unfortunately, waiters told me that the prefix lunch is not available on weekend, however, it was never mentioned on the website. Brunch options are overpriced for what it is. I liked the place for dinner last time, but unfortunately, I won’t come back. I am sorry but you cannot have a menu on the website and change rules once people are at the restaurant. The waiter also told me that it is everywhere in Manhattan like that (I am not a tourist and know that if it is the case it’s usually written on the website). Disappointed
