Anthony Road Wine Company reviews
7We had a superb time visiting Anthony Road - it’s an elegant but welcoming space. We had tasting reservations indoors and thoroughly enjoyed each of our tastings. Then our group got a glass each and headed outside for the lake front views and to explore the garden. There were various grapes and tomatoes for visitors to sample.
A really lovely selection of wine. I would recommend doing a sampler. The view is spectacular over the lake. You can see the sail boats go by in the distance. There is an outdoor bar and outdoor seating, as well as indoor. It looked like there was a little garden off to the side where one could take some scenic pictures. The staff were very friendly and on top of things.
We had two of the 5 available flights. All wines were consistently good and well made. Kudos!
This winery has the best wine tasting presentation of all the wineries we stopped by. Beautiful garden, tasteful & spacious wine tasting room with interesting soil map. I’m quite fond of their Riesling.
My wife and I visited for the Rose in May event last week. The woman at the register who greeted us was warm and friendly. Our server not so much. The wines were good. We explained to the server that my wife wasn’t a dry rose fan and if we could swap a few of the wines for sweet options. She sulked and walked away as if it were a big hassle. The one employee did offer my wife a Late Harvest Vignole sample which she liked. Other wineries were accommodating. We were displeased with our server and left half way through our tasting. I would have given 3.5 stars but that wasn’t an option!
With so many wineries on Seneca Lake it is hard to pick a favorite, but Anthony Road is certainly in our top five. Nice people. Beautiful, clean facility with a pretty view. And the wine is good too.
Great views, friendly fast service! The wines were amazing, along with the meat and cheese selections. We stayed dry as we watched a thunderstorm roll over Seneca lake
