Great course. Had a great round and time. Just don't bring your own beer like every other course allows and deals with. The way it was handled definitely left a bad taste in our mouths but it is what it is. Look forward to playing there again.

We were greeted warmly at the door and shown to the first tee. Told us if we had any questions to ask. Beautiful views from the top of the hill and challenging holes. Was not sure what to expect when we first arrived but I would golf here again as we had a great time!

Horrible customer service. The second we walked in the “pro” shop they were being rude for no reason. Then basically stalked us until we went out to play. We were thankful we were away from the shop and within 6 holes they sent a guy out to watch us. He slowly was driving around us in circles even while we were trying to hit. Pretty crazy treatment for the absolute worst golf course you can find in a 50 mile radius. Horrible greens, hardly a fairway, and patches all over the course. I not only would not recommend going here, ive told almost everyone I know to make sure NOT to go here.

The Appalachian golf course is beautiful course - don’t get me wrong, but the customer service is completely awful.

Don’t show up to this golf course unless you have the grit to handle a rude pro shop attendant. This lady must’ve woke up on the wrong side of the bed because she, without warning, came over and started shaking our bags to look for coolers. She then gave us an immature discourse on how they don’t appreciate the outside alcohol (welcome to the golf business ma’am, is this new to you) ?

Atleast have the decency to take us out to dinner before you skrew us.

WILL NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN.

Food for thought, if you expect to hold on to customers, please consider hiring someone more agreeable

Nice 18 hole course! Wish it were closer to my home but thats my problem. Very friendly staff:), Course was in nice shape.
Sand traps, water hazards, large greens-enjoyed playing here!
[EDIT]
Lisa - you are fabulous. I made the 50 mile round trip only to forget wallet. She let me play. Debt repaid. I keep finding golf balls in the woods here. They say return to Kyle. Hmmm? (Lol- I had to bust my friend)

We had a large group of golfers and had a few golfers that brought alcohol on the course (which admittedly was not allowed). The issue was the way that they handled the problem. Very rude workers grabbed the cooler from the cart and were completely arrogant with their treatment of our group. I have been golfing for 40+ years and have always had flexibility in alcohol rules (and respect in handling it) but Appalachian treated a group of 11 40 to 50 year old men poorly. Very Rude customer service and unwelcoming people. Additionally they over charged some of our party for playing 18 holes when they only played 9 holes. Will not ever golf there again and do not recommend.

I came to this golf course in a good mood and walked out in a very miserable mood…. And not because of my golf game.

As I was about to take off to start my match, the lady servicing the pro-shop comes out and rather rudely starts looking through my bags in my golf cart.

She pulls out my bag (containing cans of alcohol) and walks back to the pro shop without explanation. When I confront her she notifies me that “I’ll be holding on to these” - it is here I understand that this course requires you to purchase their alcohol at the bar. I tell her that I will put the bag in my car but she continues to walk back into the pro shop.

Not only did I have my keys and wallet in that bag, but I had my Epi-pen in the event I get stung by a bee as well.

This put me in the absolute worst mood as I felt disrespected and unwelcomed. I understand that outside alcohol is not permitted, but I did not appreciate the un-notified invasion of my personal belongings, which completely ruined my entire day.

Myself and the rest of my foursome are NEVER coming to this course again for what we felt was the worst customer service we have ever received at a golf course.

Great price for a great course. Dead silent on the hill and great privacy. Good course for beginners and experienced players alike.

Great day out with family. This family run course is still fun to play this many years later.
