Entertainer Apollo Theater reviews
16Always love the staff and the Apollo but what an excellent weekend was the At The Intersection Festival! Thanks to all who curated the event, excellent!
I went to the Apollo Theater for Black Entrepreneurs Day 2023. It was a great experience. I lucked out with parking that day, but it is paid meter parking in front if you can get a spot. I had to throw my water away, so no drinks inside. However, they have a concession stand you can purchase from. The energy inside the Apollo feels like a family reunion. The restrooms were serviceable and clean. The customer service I received from the event staff was good. The temperature inside was good, too.
I really love the place. But for the price, the amateur night show was more touristy than good. I went 10 years ago and it was something else.better.
Very quaint and distinguished venue! Awesome staff and great enthusiasm and entertainment!
We had a tour of the Apollo. The guide presented outstanding information on the history of this theater. The students were able to go on stage and go behind stage to see the wall of signatures.
Beautiful And Very Entertaining been going since I was. A child from Brooklyn and it's only gotten better
It was a great experience
Can recommend it for 100%
The atmosphere and the mood was top notch
Loved it so much
The Apollo Theater is legendary and historic!
It was an honor to visit and witness one of the greatest establishments in the history of a Kingdom Community!
Memories of yesteryear
A historic leap
All the greats played there and were also recorded
A history that pulsates until now
For all music lovers this is a must
There are performances all the time, the place is operating normally
The souvenir shop at the entrance is also excellent.
Good entertainment in NYC. Here you can really feel the city and its residents. At the price of 30 dollars per card, it's ok. But 60 is too much.
Thought amateur night was a comedy thing, whoops. Mostly R&B music and a poet. Very entertaining. But the ladies' room line was long!
Apollo Theather is the crowned jewel of the African American music at the heart of Harlem. This sacred place gave birth to a lot of the biggest names in pop culture. It's the mecca of African American music, period.
A must-visit place for anyone in New York who likes entertainment, especially talent shows.
Here you can have fun and even watch performances that say they are amateur, but I found them to be very professional.
Don't forget to go to amateur night on a Wednesday, you never know when the next Ella Fitzgerald will be revealed.
Great experience, excellent show, good talent, great music. We sat, right balcony first row so we couldn't see the drummer but still really good seats. The refreshments were a tad bit expensive as was the souvenirs but it's all about the show. Last time I was in Harlem I didn't make the show so I was looking forward and this was our last night in N. Y, did not disappoint. Thanks
It's fine.
But the fact that they only had 5 child acts, and 4 adult acts (one of which is obviously a 'boooo' set up), means that the majority of time is taken up by the DJ and the warm-up guy.
The theatre itself is beautiful, and the staff are super nice, but I'm not sure it's close to value for money for what you're getting.
Simply fantastic! Amateur envy is unbeatable and an absolute must-go when you're in New York
