It took days to reach someone even after leaving a detailed message and calling several times. Monica called me back on the day I had to leave for travel. There was no empathy after the office failed to do their job. (simply answer the phone and return a message) She rudely interrupted me, stating "I'm just here to make an appointment. " Her only concern was to make an appointment to make money for the office. This office and the front staff need to do better. How do you work in the health care service industry and not care for people?

I just saw Dr Poderedeki today. I had an amazing experience. She was so comforting and knowledgeable. I trust her completely. I will be going back for my test. I would give 10 stars if possible. She did my exam and understood more than many other drs that have seen for consult. Go with confidence.
I am updating.
All above was true. I went back and she would not review results

Weird setting, cold, doctor is rude and unbothered. I would never set foot in this office again. It’s completely crazy that someone would choose to see this unhelpful, unbothered, snarky doctor. Wouldn’t even help me with my issue. Completely disregarded everything I said. Like wow. The Hispanic girl in the front is nice. The other woman is completely rude. Disgusting, unhelpful place!

I had a recent appointment here that exemplified everything wrong with our inferior healthcare system. I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for almost two years and now a whole host of other musculoskeletal issues. I've been to multiple practitioners to try and deal with the foot. I finally decide to go to a sports medicine doctor thinking-crazy me-that a sports med doctor might have the education, experience and intuition to think big picture, to think about the whole body and wonder why a common problem isn't responding to the traditional modalities in a healthy patient.

I was asked some questions by a nurse. Then a doctor looked at my foot briefly and asked me a few more questions. Then Dr Podhorodecki came in with some info that she printed off the internet about plantar fasciitis and told me to make an appointment with a physical therapist. I had to stifle my laughter. Oh, the internet? Physical therapy? Why hadn't I thought of that? And this is the kind of care that $650/month in insurance gets us in NY/the US.

This is the third horrible experience I've had with Northwell. The first was when they canceled my surgery the morning of (it had been scheduled for two months) because they forgot to make sure the surgical hospital took my insurance. Spoiler: they didn't. The second was when they billed me $300 plus for a covid test that was suppose to be free. Do not go to this circus of a healthcare system.

PS I went to Sundala Wellness in Nyack NY two days ago about my plantar fasciitis-she treats the NY Ballet dancers-and after one appointment of dry needling, infrared heat lamps, manual therapy and a lengthy chat about the mechanics of my body, my foot is 90% pain free. And I had to pay $200 cash because my insurance won't pay for it. Money well spent.
