Ordered through Seamless and I’m a big fan of Afghan food and this is the worst rendition of Afghan food. Fish kebab is not cod, rubbery and tasteless. Do not recommend

Nice owner but food is nothing special. Sami’s Kabob House (Afghan) in Astoria is much better.

Great food. Great host. Nice ambience. One disappointment is the the prices are much higher than the online published prices.

BE AWARE!
This place serves Alcohol. This is Okay for non-Muslims but if you are Muslim and dinning in this place then you are not really being served with Halal meal.

Ordered the clear chicken soup, the Manto, and the Chicken Shish Kabob for takeout. We quite enjoyed the food! Will definitely try to visit and soak in the full experience!

This restaurant was awesome! Firstly, the owner was serving my family and he was super nice and told us everything we needed to know about each dish. We got the potato bolani which was super crispy and the potato filling was tasty. Then came the qabuli polow with the kabobs. I must say from the afghan restaurants ive had in this city, Ariana easily has the tastiest rice. Even without the qabuli it was flavorsome and not oily at all, super fluffy! The chicken tikka was super good and the lamb tikka was nice as well. I found the beef kofta to be fine, nothing special but still tasty, but the other two kabobs were a suprise compared to other restaurants. The tandoori chicken was so good, fresh and tender. The portion was good. Their white sauce is also tasty. They have great ferni to end your meal as well as ice cream.

During our week stay in New York we ate at Wali’s restaurant multiple times. The food is delicious, highly recommended stopping by for some authentic Afghan food. The portion sizes are perfect, enough rice to meat combinations. I am a great lover of Afghan food and this definitely lives up to expectations. The host Wali is fantastic so friendly and funny and provides a wonderful service that makes the experience all that much better. Cant wait to visit again!

The restaurant is afghani, the person which restaurant belongs to him also pure afghani but the cooks and all personal is from Mexico or South America and the test of food not like afghani and the bread and same food wasn’t fresh, the cheapest menu was 18$ and the expensive was 28 $, for the bread they charge separately

First thing the menu does not have the price and they are not honest whatever they want they will charge you and the food is not worth for the price they charge I will not recommend this place especially for Afghans

The I didn’t even finish half of it. And didn’t even took it home that bad. The soups if you call it soup is from noodles from shop rite which is 4 for a1$. And for two people he charged $125. I don’t know how he’s still in business. Garbage food ridiculous price.

It's been years since I've been to Ariana and I'm so happy to see it's still in operation. LOVE this place. One of my faves in Manhattan. There are times I still dream of the food. I hope to visit sometime, again, in the future.

The service and food are both incredible! The owner takes such good care of every customer and is always so friendly and caring. I've gotten several of the pilaus and have always been impressed-they're delicious! The samusas and pumpkin are also great

Food is consistently well prepared and tasty. The only small nitpick I have is that sometimes the portions of fish in the spicy fish kabob are a bit small, especially compared to the amount of rice (which is very well seasoned and flavorful). Like I said, just a minor nitpick, not enough to stop me from ordering.

Also, the proprietors are very friendly and welcoming!
