Arms Acres, Carmel Hamlet NY

I was really trying to give the place a second chance though I discharged myself a year ago but after a very dismissive phone call. They do not care just a daycare center with short staff and no patience or passion.

I cancelled my trip there every single one of those people who answered the phone had extremely low patience with attitudes which turned me off about even going. People come here to reach out for help. 0/10 customer service

Building should be condemned. Still fighting a civil suit with them for over $400 worth of clothes. We will keep clogging the phone lines and the website might be wonky. Doing everyone a favor. Keep the phone lines busy most of the day and they can't accept more patients.errr I mean policy numbers. Far from over Armes Acres & Conifer park. This is war.

This place is understaffed but truly puts recovery into your hands. If you do not want it. You will not get it. Here I learned to advocate for myself. This place is what you make it I give it 5 stars because since I left a month ago I've had an alright month I'm making meetings this place will definitely show you where you DONT want to end up. It is what you make it. Staff is overworked and underpaid but incredibly passionate about helping and relating to the patients. The nurses are nothing less than stellar, and there to assist you. Ask questions, be proactive to get appointments for therapists, psychiatrists etc.no one is going to come to you. Case managers Liz and Perry are godsends. Caring and competent, they will get you where you want to go with your quest for sobriety. The facility and management of it is what it is, but you can come out better than ever, as I did. I’m incredibly grateful for my time there and the staff I met that helped me along the process.

I do not recommend going here MY father went to get better for me and my sister and the girl he wanted to marry he had a great business going and many people cared for him they gave him a month In there and towards the end he kept saying the pills they where giving him made him feel a certain way and no one did anything and he killed himself the night he was on FaceTime with me and my sister he was supposed to call us back and say goodnight and didn't get too the girl he was talking too called this place and told them how he felt and they said there's not enough staff and no one checked on him and he ended his life so I don't recommend going there!

The manner in which their services are provided was horrific. This is a horrible place for recovery in every aspect. Stay clear.

My roommate was literally smoking crack in the bathroom. I grabbed all my stuff and threw it in the hallway and told the counselor I needed to move into a knew room. The roommate didn't get kicked out. Didn't get drug tested and told the counselor "I've been coming here for 7-8 years. I don't want her in my room anymore. " Arms Acres caters to people who are not there for the right reasons because it's all about the money. Go anywhere else.

I was in here June 1st to June 25th 2012 honestly it changed my life in a positive way! Everything goes great if you follow the rules! I miss Evelyn my caseworker! And all the other staff! Thank you! ️? I have great memories!

Do not go there! God awful. The workers act like prison guards and treat you like inmates.all they want is your money.horrible place. I repeat.horrible center

This place is is a jokE do not bring stuff here because staff steals the stuff or they give it to the wrong people

My girlfriend returned from arms acres released on early discharge.with the energy of a 50yo women note that She is 30. She was malnourished and lied to about what was in her food. She left arms acres mentally broken with aggrevated neuropathy. Being medical proxy I was bounced around and nobody attended to my concerns. They failed to meet dietary needs and the procedural flaws In the medical department left her to suffer. I wrote this with anger simmering in my stomach watching what once was a healthy girl walk around confused and malnourished with neuropathy. I am going to dig at this place until my loved one who came here for help received the justice they deserve.

Not helpful at all. Staff rather you suffer then help ease the transition from opiate addiction to get clean. They rather give blood pressure medication for anxiety instead of what they offer. Medication is through a score sheet on the computer. The computer says what you need. That’s not professional especially when a computer doesn’t have a Conscience. Horrible staff and offer nothing for recovery.

Very rude there intake department has an hour hold time and when they answer the phone they hang up because there to lazy and unsophisticated to do there job, as well I heard the place is disgusting and that there staff hardly cleans anything this place should be shut down in my opinion.

One of the better detoxs in upstate ny. Good food. Guys & girls sections. Staff is one of the most experienced with area resources. Very caring institution
