Arrowhead Spring Vineyards, Lockport NY

This is the one! While driving around Niagara County today searching for the perfect Bordeaux-style terrior, I happened across Arrowhead Spring and knew immediately that their vineyards had the potential to deliver premium quality, big, bold, red wines. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they were growing Syrah, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Merlot on site, rather than the Concords and Niagaras that are more commonly grown in this region. I tasted their "Varietal Flight", as well as their 17-09 and 15-05 Single Barrel Estate Cab Sauvs and was not disappointed. It is safe to say that Arrowhead Spring is now my favourite winery in New York State. Special kudos to my server, Hannah as well as the proprietor Duncan Ross and his son (sorry, I forgot his name) who patiently responded to all my questions and comments about the winery and their wines. There is a lot of potential in Niagara County to produce world-class Bordeauxs and Burgundies; Arrowhead Spring is well on their way to fulfilling that potential.

Great wine and great food in a beautiful setting. We shared a white pizza and charcuterie plate. Had riesling and unoaked chardonnay which were both delicious.

1st time I ate here with my wife. I ordered the French Dispatch, it was a fantastic sandwich, really, a lot of flavor. We sat inside in back looking over the vineyard. Everything was really good. We loved it for a quick stop, a drink and some really good food.a hidden gem for sure!

This winery was beautiful inside, staff friendly, and liked wine tasting with flights instead of pouring each tasting. We took it to an available table where we could take our time, share the tastings, talk amongst ourselves about each wine. Good wine bought a few bottles.

My wife and I love going here. Close by our house, the food is amazing, wine is wonderful (and dry!), and the staff/owners are very friendly!

Arrowhead is such a wonderful place. The wines are superb, the food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful! Such a beautiful place to relax for an afternoon. I go there at least once a month and is the first Niagara Region winery I recommend to anyone visiting.

I love that you can go to the winery and just sit and relax with a very nice glass of wine. The tasting room has a restaurant feel and there are a variety of seating options, although my favorite is the library table with the community puzzle to work on!

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards is one of our favorite vineyards on the Niagara wine trail. It's always a fun and relaxing atmosphere, with 2 adorable resident pups to always brighten your day! Robin, Duncan, James, and the entire family and staff puts a lot of labor and love into the winery and it shows in everything from the wine to the very woodwork and fixtures of the tasting room! One of the biggest things we appreciate about Arrowhead is that they do not allow buses and limos, which helps to curtail rowdy crowds. In the summertime, take a seat on the outside patio or sit in Adirondack chairs down by the vines. In the wintertime, enjoy a nice glass of wine by the custom fireplace and enjoy the amazing view from the many windows! If you really love their wine, don't hesitate to join their case club. It's definitely worth it!
