Artichoke Basille's Pizza reviews
19Alright so I blew $5 on a slice of pizza but that was a biiiig slice and super good. If you're tryna get that GORMET pizza and you don't mind spending a few bucks extra this place is a great option.
I’ve gotten delivery from this location twice via Uber. Bottom of the barrel pizza both times. Super burnt crust, ordered a pie and they gave me the literal slices from the counter… go to bushwick location
I don’t get it. The place was packed so I assumed it had to be at least decent. We got the artichoke pie, and it looked like they had just ladled about a quart of soup onto some half baked pizza crust. By the time we had walked the couple blocks home, the ‘soup’ had all flowed to the corner of the box and some had seeped out. I’ll admit the flavor was ok. But the texture was awful. And for $33? Go elsewhere.
I will always go far out of my way for an Artichoke slice but this was a very disappointing outing. Not bad, but not any more special than a regular generic NY street slice you’d get anywhere.
It's a personal favorite for me. I always go with their creamy and delicious Artichoke slice, along a saucy and tasty Vodka slice. I've yet to find another pizza place that has left me craving as bad!
Best pizza I have ever had in a while! I kept it simple and had pepperoni pizza. I added extra cheese and it evened out the spicyness. Definitely worth everything penny.
The 5th Ave location was disappointing. They over sauced the pizza so it was a mess you could barely eat. Also, they stacked pieces on top of each other in the box, creating more of a mess. Ordered ahead and it said pick up in 30 mins, but tasted like it had been sitting around for a long time.
Is it tasty? Sure. Is it pizza? If you want "stunt" pizza, I'd say yes. (The namesake slice is literally bowl of artichoke dip on a triangle shaped slice of bread). If you want a regular slice, go elsewhere.
I had a bad experience once and I still never got over it.
I did enjoy their pepperoni roll tho. It was adequate for the price and delicious. Definitely along the lines of why do americans act like they have free healthcare but sometimes salty and greasy is amazing regardless.
It is deep-dish style pizza. The season is great, yummy crust & slices bigger than your face! Not only do they have artichoke pizza- they also have different flavors. Love this place.
Excellent pizza and this location has super friendly staff. They're always happy to help and work fast. They're super busy because it's a great business.
Super creamy artichoke pizza and they had unicorn napkins! Adorable the one in the city had American flag napkins, super funny. Only bad thing is that they only take cash. The place is on the smaller side but is still works for a quick delicious bite.
Delicious pizza! But not the typical thin American-Italian pizza you get, rather a pie, very filling. They accept cash only.
Uhhhh.what even was this? We ordered the pepperoni joint, whole pizza, and it just lacked pizzaz. The little pepperonis themselves were great, but the sauce was lacking something—there’s some acidity there that should be killed and herbs that could be added to give the sauce some meaning. Also, the crust isn’t anything great. It could use way more flavor. Giving this experience 2 stars solely because of the iconic pepperoni. Y’all aren’t showing the lil’ pepp’s enough respect.
They really are awesome! Aside from having gray Pizza, huge slices, and super friendly service / employees, they're literally a block and a half from my house! Yay! If you want to know more just hit me up)
I've ordered delivery during the beginning of covid. Ordered again today. I'm not sure what happened. I was not one for these novelty pies but I was impressed. Now. Fort was cold like it came from a left over pie yesterday and the box was crushed much like my expectations. I'm currently still heating this cold pizza in the oven. Mamá mía, a sad cold pizza. Two stars for what was once a good, hot, delivered slice.
This place is my guilty pleasure and I only allow myself to rarely indulge. I have NEVER been disappointed with the Artichoke slice. This was my fastest trip ever and it was soooooooooo worth it! I love this place!
The slices here are great. It's a little high in price but what do you expect look at the location. However definitely worth the money. Friendly staff and very clean establishment. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends to come and grab a slice or two!
The people eating at this place and giving it 5 stars CANT be native New Yorkers.
The pizza is ok but this is definitley not the delicious NY style pizza I grew up on in BROOKLYN NY. Go down a few blocks to Pizzatown to get something more authentic and not as expensive.
