Artichoke Basille's Pizza reviews
14I love artichoke pizza, no copy cats can do it like them. Cash only so very minor inconvenience but worth it.
Friendly folks but I think I ordered the wrong slice. I ordered the artichoke slice and I didn’t taste any artichoke. All I tasted was some sort of liquid cheese sauce that made me think of artichoke flavored Alfredo sauce on thick crust. But it’s all about the experience.
This is the spot for when you've got big hunger but little budget. You'll get the best bang for your buck and a delicious pizza for cheap.
Had the artichoke white sauce pizza and Margherita pizza and it was 11/10. You don't need any kind of dipping sauce for added flavour. The pizza on its own was sooooo good! The pizza is made fresh and 1 slice of pizza is a big portion. Highly recommend when you're in NYC.
This is always a fair place of mine. Especially try their artichoke slice. It is basically artichoke dip on a pizza. It is very unique and it must try for any tourist. The slices are very big, and I would say one slice is definitely going to make into a full meal, so if you're going to be trying many things in new york, then I will probably split the slice with a friend.
This place is out of this world, I firmly belive another civilization brought this to earth as a gift. Immediately upon placing a slice of this pizza in your mouth there is an explosion of vibrant flavor. The pizza I had tasted like the nectar from Mt. Olympus. A bite of this pizza can make any boy a man and any girl a woman. We do not deserve a place like this in this world yet we are graced with its presence. If I could I would give this place 100 stars. For the small fee of 5 dollars I experienced pure euphoria last night. Artichoke.you are forever in my heart.
Pizza does not have the correct texture. The crust was ready and the top topping was watery I could barely taste any artichokes. The gentleman was nice enough to add pepperoni to my artichoke Pizza and the pepperonis were actually the high point of my pizza. I would not eat there again was very disappointing! Also the restaurant / venue looks kind of grungy. Pizza for one piece is $5 which is $1.25 more than Joe's deluxe pizza. Don't bother. They also did not have chairs to sit in outside so I ended up across the street eating my Pizza to bus stop. They had high tables but were too cheap to even bother to provide chairs.
I will never understand the infatuation with this place. It’s overpriced & closer to soup than pizza.
A disappointing late night excursion.
After getting someone else’s order and returning it, I finally got my Artichoke slice.
As I walked down the street, I realized it was cold, tossed it in the trash, and moved on with my life.
The crab pizza slice is delicious. It's not fresh crab, but it has a great crab flavor and there are generous chunks of it on each slice.
The artichoke slice didn't really meet my expectations. It tasted more like spinach dip dumped on top of a slice of pizza. It was creamy and the crust was nice and crisp, but I definitely preferred the crab slice.
Let's be clear, the "Artichoke pizza" is a must-try in New York, it's creamy and delicious, the quantity in relation to the price is very good as well.
A slice of the Margherita pizza is very good to complement the artichoke pizza flavor but every time I come back to the classic one artichoke pizza flavor (and I don't even like vegetables!).
One of the best pizza in town. Crust is thin, the rest is a lot of sauce and toppings. Has great taste.
Definitely worth the slice. I only ate one at the time and saved the other for dinner. The artichoke pizza was delicious, rich, and creamy. The crab was really good too. I wish I had added some of the parmesan or red pepper flakes but I was no longer in the vicinity. There are tables outside, no chairs, and there is no seating inside. The staff are friendly. The card minimum when I went was $15.
Worst customer service over the phone in my whole life. These people have no clue. It was really insulting.
