Shoe repair, watch repair and handbag restoration done in this small full-service shop of craftspeople. Fun to see a throwback to the old New York places that used to be in my neighborhood. (Now all gone.) Obviously a popular stop for people in this area, many of whom knew the repair people by name. Brought in my watch for a new battery, the guy changed it, I paid $20 and it stopped working in one week. I brought it back, he told me he had noticed the previous battery leaked but he did not think it would break the watch. Now fully broken, it was $150 to clean and restore it. Seems to work now but ask me again in a year! Quite an experience

Went in looking for a quick shoe shine by hand. Was in a bind so agreed to the machine shine. Machine damaged my shoe then after paying $20 for a shine he asked for a tip! East of the shoe is shiny.

I had a great experience with them.the crown had fallen off an old watch of mine and i was petrified to take it to get fixed for fear that someone would say i had irreparably damaged the watch or something to that effect.however, they were great — fixed it for a great price in a matter of days.thanks again!

I really wanted to like this place but can't help feeling scammed. They told me it would be $60 to replace my shoe soles and then charged me $120. I thought they were also replacing soles on a second pair of shoes which is why I paid the money, but only one pair were replaced. I could have just bought a new pair of shoes for $120.

Love this place! Amazing quality work and service. I got my watch fixed up here as well as had soles added to my shoes, he was so kind and answered all the questions I had about the process. Highly recommend for pieces you would like to have detailed and care to go into:)

This place works magic for fast, cheap, and excellent service! You do not need an appointment before walking in. I walked into the store with a watch that needed fixing… I was assuming it would be a week. I ended up getting the watch back 5 minutes later. Thank you, Arthur. 100% recommend!

Arthur and the guys do a phenomenal job. I took 6 pairs of old luxury leather / suede shoes and he restored them to even better than brand new. The guys are all class acts and love and take pride in their great work. Will be back for future shoe repairs

I had a great experience with Arthur re: watch repair. All but 4 of the hands of my watch were dislodged after I dropped it, and the company it came from quoted me 2 months for a repair and a price half the value of the watch. Arthur told me he could do it for 1/3 of the price by the very next day! The watch looks flawless (and he actually had it done that very same day). I also appreciated his honesty in warning me that the 8 re-glued hands are not as secure as they were before, and recommending removing them all together. Arthur is very kind and personable and I will be back to Artistic for future repairs.
