Aspen Campground, Candor NY

2 adults with primitive camping 1 night and proprietor overcharged stating our debit card is a ‘luxury’ and they prefer cash. Campground has makeshift fire pit/no picnic table/ and was over priced for their facilities which were not well maintained. Very loud campsite even at 1 am well into 2: 30 am. Not a family campground environment. Gravel steep incline to campground.

Rude proprietor Annie who ‘lectured me on the use of credit cards’, told me come back with cash next time. There will be no next time. If I had an alternative would have left. Campsites unkempt, old and no life, no families. Appears several camping live there, live there permanently. Pool looked clean and maintained. But, find an alternative. Disappointing.

Great experience. Primitive campsites were clean and close the the pound. Great price. Friendly owners.

The owners wife is rude; we were parked in front of the office to pay and she yelled at us very rudely and told us to move the car. We were going to move and she just continued to yell at us. I will never be going back there.

Went up to see my daughter it was a GREAT place to fish and went swimming had a GREAT time

Great campground to stay at. This is our 2nd year. This year we went with a seasonal. Nice and quiet/private/clean facilities. The owners are very nice and accommodating have become friends with them. We enjoy our time here with our dogs. You can even get a massage. The owner has a massage parlor here.

Secluded campground that is close to Candor. Very nice and accommodating owners. I was traveling on my motorcycle and thus tent camping. Great set up for a tent with electric and water. Close to the showers. One caveat for other bikers, there is a short drive up a gravel drive. Not difficult, but if you are uneasy on gravel, be cautious.

Hickories in Owego was all taken.
We went online and this was the third one listed.
We came for Thursday to Monday. My husband can't back in so Larry did it for him!
There wasn't a picnic table or fire ring so they brought them to us!
Beautiful spot with our own private woodpecker!

Just moved our camper in for 2021! Place is back open, they are working hard on campground, looking forward to camping again this year

Arrived and tried to drive up the STEEP hill to the campground. Hill was so vertical I could not get my 16' camper up the hill. Beware: the campground does not issue refunds.

This campground is described as "rustic" & it is. The broken road to AC is rough on a motorhome but is doable. The owners are very nice, there is a salt water swimming pool, showers, with electric & water at each site. Lots of privacy.

Nice, quiet in the woods. We have a 36' coach and would not recommend anything bigger. The road thru the campground is a rough, rocky one. We have a nice spot over looking a small mowed open area with trees all around. Unfortunately we here during weather, end of Fred, start of Henri.

This was one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at! The owners were so sweet and helpful! It was absolutely perfect for us. The campground is awesome, and the amenities were perfect and clean. They were so accommodating for our last minute camping trip. We'll definitely be back!
