Aspen Dental, Commack NY

This was my first experience with Aspen Dental and it was excellent. I am sure that all future appointments will be as good as my first one. The entire team at Commack is great to deal with.

I never had my wisdom teeth removed but haven't been bothered by them over the years. Then I woke one morning with a lot of pain in one of them. My nose, cheekbone, ear and jaw were painful too, I was worried I had an infection. I was told by my dentist it probably needed to come out and they would see me for an xray then refer me to an oral surgeon for an extraction as they don't remove wisdom teeth. I was told they would put me on their cancelation list but after 3 days I still hadn't got an appointment and couldn't wait anymore. I called around but nobody could see me for more than a week and no oral surgeon would see me without a referral. I checked if Aspen dental took my insurance and while they didn't, they did have multiple appointments available the next day. I was told if the tooth needed to come out they could remove it during the appointment. When I arrived I filled out some standard but brief forms on an easy to use tablet. The waiting room was clean and stylish, everything is brand new and kept tidy. I was very nervous thinking about having the tooth removed and told them at the desk that I had a bit of a dental phobia. They were all sympathetic and made me feel very comfortable. Each person I encountered explained everything they would be doing, I wasn't rushed at all. I wish I had gotten all their names but everyone at the desk, the xray tech and the hygienists were all wonderful and very patient. Dr. Patino did my extraction and she was very kind and knowledgeable. I was nervous and rambling on about previous experiences at the dentist that had gone badly and she even cracked a few jokes and assured me that I was in good hands and everything would go smoothly. I was able to relax a bit, which was priceless given how nervous I was. The tooth did need to come out and it went smoothly, the extraction was quicker than I thought it would be too. I had no pain while she was working and she frequently stopped to check with me that I was pain free and tell me what she was going to do next. I was out of the chair before I knew it! I found the rate reasonable and they even gave me 20% off which helped since I was paying out of pocket. I was given clear and detailed instructions, verbal and written, on how to care for it and how to avoid a dry socket. I was also encouraged to call if I had any questions or concerns and that they had an emergency line if I needed anything during off hours. It's been 5 days and I feel pretty much back to normal. I didn't have any problems or excessive pain while recovering. I can't thank Dr. Patino and the entire staff enough for their skilled care and kindness during my time of need! I was scared and in pain and they really went above and beyond to help me, thank you Aspen dental!

Very clean. Had appts available same day even on a holiday. Very professional and thorough. I liked the staff and Dr. Patino. The only negative is I need a deep cleaning as my treatment and I have to wait a full week. That’s a long time to continue to have discomfort in my gums. Also too long a wait for the consult at check out. Give patients the option for a speedy self check out. Thanks.

Went in today for tooth pain. I was extremely scared and nervous going in but the receptionist and all the staff was extremely nice and helpful. It was not painful at all and I can’t thank them enough! Can’t wait to go back and finish everything with them because I just loved the whole staff. Clean office as well super modern!

I tried this place for the first time and I am pleased with their services. Their friendly staff made feel comfortable since the beginning. I came here for an emergency and I was able to get an appointment the same day. I got my first examination and x-rays done for free, as stated on their website. I ended up having two of my wisdom teeth removed, one of which was difficult to remove because of my dense bones. So it took a little longer than usual. And I must confess I was a little nervous because I didn't know the kind of work this dentist had done in the past. There were so little reviews on the internet about him. But doctor Zhou did a great job, despite the challenge. I didn't have too much pain afterwards, but I took pain killers the first night, just in case. The next day I didn't have any pain. Following the doctor's instructions helped me for a fast recovery. It's been five days and I'm almost back to normal.

I know visiting a dentist is not fun for anyone, but with the right hands doing the job, you can be relieved that you'll be fine if you do your part following the doctor's instructions. I will definitely be back to this place and I recommend it for anyone. Their prices are also reasonable, even for people without insurance.

Deep Deep cavities, absolutely painless, Dr Patino is the best. She cares about her patients, compassionate and professional.
Lots more work to be done. I won’t use any other dentist. I’ll be back.

Friendly environment, everyone is very nice, took the time to discuss the dental plan, and i was able to remove one wisdom tooth the same day. This was my first time at the office i will definitely recommend it!

The staff from the front end w/ Janelle and Jayson set such a warm, yet professional articulate, knowledgeable tone. When you get called in for your visit the dental assistants greet all patients w/ a smile and truly show you they are happy to see you and assist you. Finally, when you get into the dental chair the dentist is super kind, very thorough and speaks to all of the employees w/ great respect and truly demonstrates great teamwork w/ all involved. The dentist answer all of your questions thoroughly and if necessary seeks further assistance from other professional dentist on board. At the end of your appointment they close up the visit with the same two warm, welcoming professionals Janelle and Jayson sitting with you and being crystal clear on what any and all procedures took place. Aspen you changed the dental world around and brought it to a level of experts that truly care about themselves and their patients! It was your front end individuals Janelle and Jayson that won me over during the first phone appointment and first time visit. You all compliment each other in a positive manner and greatly demonstrate to be on the same page. It’s obvious and super evident that you are all well trained in a full 360 and best of all the facility is spotless and well maintained!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I came in to get a filling fixed. I’ve had two other dentists work on this particular filling and no one has taken the time and care that aspen dental has. The entire staff was so kind and friendly too. Everyone explained every part of the process to me carefully. If you’re looking for a new dentist, this is the place to go.

This past Tuesday evening my upper dentures broke, on Wednesday morning I started calling dental offices and no one could accommodate me until I found Aspen dental in Commack New York I was immediately set up with an appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

The front desk staff of Junelle and Jayson make you feel right at home and handled the paperwork with great speed and efficiency the dental team headed by Dr. Joe and his dental assistants Mary, Dana and Scarlett and lab techs Alex and Derek went above and beyond to make everything perfect. While always making sure that I was their number one Priority.

For the next three visits I was made to feel like family and by Friday afternoon I had my new dentures which were absolutely perfect.

I called for an Emergency for my daughter at 7 am, I was able to get an appointment for 8. We arrived and was received with so much warmth and Every one was friendly. Explained everything in Detail, I was extremely impressed. I told my Daughter this will be our New Dentistry and for her to cancel her appointments with the other Dentist. I Highly recommend ASPEN DENTAL. Thank you for Everything and putting a smile on my daughter's face Especially she is no longer in pain. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
