Solid selection of a typical grocery store, but the meat and produce selection have become borderline disgusting. Tons of expired food, wilted vegetables, and meat are hours away from being rotten. Need a higher degree of quality control. I've been coming here for years and unfortunately, I won't be back.

So this grocery store is becoming problematic. I can shop elsewhere. Oh well. Great selection and some bargains but that can be had elsewhere of course. You know on second thought people treat you suspiciously because of bad experiences they have had with others. It's a grocery store all I ask is that you don't ever act like you are doing me a favor to spend my money. So I wish them well. Lovely community. They are homogeneous and so very protective of each other. We should all be.

I’ve seen expired products several times on their shelves and they charge higher prices at the register than what’s labeled on the products. Go to Key Food or C-Town instead.

Ive been going here since I was a little kid. I'm glad to see they finally have some diversity with their staff. I recently purchased jar pickles with a in expiration in December and every pickle was rotted when I opened the jar. I was goung to bring it back but I realized I didnt even grab the receipt.

They sell expired products, be really careful if you buy in this store.

Also there’s a cashier who doesn’t wear a mask and she says THEY TRAINED HER TO NOT TO WEAR IT. RIDICULOUS

I went to purchase a Turkey Hill ice cream that was on sale for $2.99 and was told that it was $7.99. When I showed the cashier the circular, that it was advertised, she told me that they don't follow the circular. So I told her, but this is the circular from this store. Spoke to the manager and he said that they don't follow the circular.
Never have I heard something like that.

This might be the worlds most expensive grocery store. There are cheaper options in Greenpoint for sure.

**Food poisoning alert on meat**
1. We got a rotisserie chicken for Thanksgiving from this store and consumed it within an hour after we bought it. Everyone who ate the chicken started feeling nauseated rest of the night and had diarrhea and vomit few hours after eating it.

2. It was my mistake not checking expiration date (rotisserie chicken wasn't expired btw) but whenever I pick up a bag of sliced breads from Key Foods or any other supermarkets, it has at least 7 days till its expiration. But in Associated, breads that are gonna expire in 3 days are still on shelf so do check expiration date.this is the supermarket that sells expired or nearly expired foods so be cautious.

3. They don't have paper bags at cashier. Only sell reusable bag for 69 cents.

All in all, I won't go back to this store. I'd rather make trip down to Whole Foods on Bedford ave. Same price but quality and freshness of foods can't be beat, it's worth the trip.

Good selection, also good prices, in particular for eastern European specialties. Oftentimes prize labels missing. Also pretty sad to see how disinterested the checkout persons are, they manage to continue texting on the phone while dealing with a customer.

The store did implement social distancing with posters and signs but their own employees don’t follow rules such as social distance, wearing masks and gloves. The manager and another employee went so close to me about 1 foot earlier today without mask or gloves. I told them to move away but they did not comply.

Associated is a health hazard.
