Associated Supermarkets of Ridgewood, Queens NY

The produce is terrible.

Most items don't have prices listed and when you purchase them you realize that you were charged $10 for something that should only be about $5 at most elsewhere. Everything in the store is ridiculously overpriced, you can go to almost any other store in the area and spend about $30 less for the same grocery list.

The refrigerated food section almost always has food that has gone bad because they leave the food sitting out unrefrigerated.

Do not buy the yogurt or any other dairy / non dairy item, because almost always is rancid, even tho it hasn't met the expiration date.

Meat prices are great but most other items are way too high. I shop at Food Bazaar n Ideal mostly for the items as juices eggs butter etc they are way cheaper than associated.

Not gonna lie, I had low expectations but WOWOW I nearly wept walking through the fresh veggies and to the vegan/vegetarian section where I lingered probably a little too long perusing. The store itself is a little cramped but it's an NYC grocery store, what do you expect? I love this joint and can't wait to go back!

They are have a good variety everything there there produce is fresh, good quality and well maintained. There meat section very good and reasonable price.there deli is awesome for cold cuts and nice variety of salad to try. I must the entire supermarket is well maintained and clean the ladies (cashiers) and managers are very attentive and pleasant and really help you on any sales or product you want. The only minus I have is if you ask a staff that you see they are fixing there aisle and you ask for assistance there answer is that's not my section and don't know it. Then that kind of discouraging to go looking for a product you need especially if you new customer coming in. They are very aware of there customers on who are there regulars are and new ones. Like I said overall regardless of the minus I still like coming to this place because of there products and decent pricing. Also now if I need something I will go straight to manager who is pleasant and will help us.

This store practices intentionally deceiving pricing; prices listed on items are not the same as they charge you at register. Additionally, this store increases prices on individual items weekly, $20 for a pack of raw chicken tenders! The same weight was $13 last week!

If that’s not bad enough, half the food in the store is either rotting or completely rotted already.

THERE HAVE BEEN NO POSITIVE REVIEWS OF THIS STORE IN OVER A YEAR. Check reviews, PRICE GOUGING AND ROTTEN FOOD ARE CONSISTENTLY LISTED.

Do not recommend this place for anyone. If you go, triple check your receipt and look for mold! Health department should shut this place down.

Not my favorite place to shop but convenient. Items on high end price wise and quality not always there to match. You have to be aware of prices because the prices marked on shelf and prices at register not always the same. If your aware it is incorrect and point out they will correct.

Sadly, most times they don't have paper bags for clients on snap, on various occasions.hmmm wonder if they just want you to buy a bag.

DEAR OWNER: You are under the impression that it was someone else this has happened to. Apologies for not expressing it was me, it happened to more than once on various occasions, including some folks i know. Although your store policy requires this, sadly that did not happened. Your cashier was the one that expressed to me they ran out of paper bags and asked if i wanted to purchase one. I accepted this reason, but once it happened 3 times to be exact and in one case asked her to get manager who gave me the same reason. I appreciate your response, but you should check with your cashiers and your managers to see how many times this has happened. No big thing, just that your response "assures" just ask the cashier, when that happened more than once. All the best.

The prices are different from what's listed on the shelves, especially produce! Be carefully when buying form here.

Guy just paid for beer with food stamp card. That tells me everything I need to know about this place.
Update: If you continued to provide by the book service then your cashier would not have done this. Check the camera footage for today and you will see it. If I see it again, and I am not targeting your store specifically, I will report like I would any other store.

Organized place, the staff is friendly, usually I find what I need, but sometimes I feel fruits and vegetables are a little expensive here.

Next to my house in Ridgewood. It's ok. I have some issues finding what I need. Some good prices and something are a little high

Always clean, well stocked and a great variety of foods. This supermarket has been here for over 20 years. Staff has always been polite and extremely helpful.

With regret I will not be shopping here as often as I did in the past. The prices have risen on items that normally we're well priced before. I know inflation exists but some things are way overpriced. The fruits and vegetables have also not been very fresh as of late. Such a shame to see a neighborhood supermarket go downhill.

It's a nice convenient grocery with many selections but most of the fruit are moldy or rotten. When informed a worker that the strawberries had mold in it, he just took some out and placed the strawberries back for people to buy.

The employees the cashier very nice.great service, been going here for years and will not change the foods some vegetables and meats very fresh my favorite supermarket

Good supermarket. Can be more productive and clean after a snow day. Vehicle was stuck in the lot and I almost fell.
