Astoria Park reviews
13Large park with amazing views of Manhattan and plenty of space to walk, sit, or have a picnic. Can get pretty crowded.
Nice playground area for kids and adults,
One of the best things of Queens, unfortunately now July 2023 pool is close.
It's a nice park, the view of bridge over the lake looks amazing especially at evening time.
Beautiful park, has literally everything and amazing views. I wish the bathrooms were cleaner tho. Its probably the most stinkiest bathroom ive ever been in.
Despite the rainy weather, Astoria Park was quaint, clean and lovely. Family friendly with a playground for kinds and plenty of seating to relax or even just lie on the grass. Great park to run or bike around since it’s nearby the water and they’ve closed off the side road there for pedestrians.
I've gone there a few times throughout the years. I've seen fireworks on the 4th of July in 2016. I've visited the pool frequently. I've attended the Astoria Carnival in 2021 and now, 2023. This year besides the extremely long lines, the weed smoke was way too excessive for a venue for children. Pretty sure we all caught contact on each and every line. It has been a few years since I've gone to the pool but it was clean. I will give an update after this season.
Update: July 2023 - can't go to the pool as it is undergoing a $19mm renovation.
We love going to the pool, having a picnic at the park, and watch the sunset under the brigde. You spend the whole day there having fun!
I hadn't been to Astoria Park for several years, but decided to go one Sunday morning with my dog. I forgot what a nice park it is!
It's a very nice park, but it could do with a few more gardens. I like the a mount of lawn space, and the butterfly garden was gorgeous. I very much enjoyed the architecture of the Hell's Gate Bridge.
The reconstruction of the pool has started almost a year ago and I still don't see any change. What is being built there, some giant tower? How hard is it? Why are the works delayed like this? This is the time when the community needs the pool and not when winter comes. I also don't understand the schedule that worked before. The pool must be open from 8 am to 8 pm.
It is a very clean place, spacious, there are areas for sports such as athletics, soccer fields and other sports, the pool is being remodeled but there are water games for children, places with wrestling, a green area for outdoor meals, with family and friends, there are public toilets, I recommend that you clean everything you use and leave in the garbage cans. And for photography there are great views.
Great park easy parking and nice views.playground and sprinkler park r conveniently adjacent to each other.
Don't sit outside unless you tell them inside or no one would probably come wait on you, made the mistake of ordering margherita pizza.disgusting.
