The BEST & FRIENDLIEST customer service by the morning crew who serve the homiest of diner fare in NYC's Midtown-West neighborhood since the 80's!

Not too many diners in midtown Manhattan so it was good to spot this place while working on a project nearby.
I love diners. That eggs & a breakfast meat thing just brings back childhood memories.

Eggs over easy & corn beef hash with home fries was pretty much standard fare. 3 eggs was nice and endless coffee.

We had an awesome experience and one of the best waitresses ever. I gave it five stars because of the waitress, the food I would give four stars

My husband and I found Astro in November 2019 on a visit to NYC. So friendly! Breakfast with THAT SAUSAGE (Lebanese? Or Greek?) was so delicious it is still a topic of conversation today. We were coming back to NYC this Thanksgiving (2020), but for Coronavirus. We can’t wait yo go back! Do glad you’re still there. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Good diner in busy Manhattan.
The diner was tiny but full of people. We got a table fast and the waiter was straight forward. The menu was huge! Literally- huge! Anyone could find something for themselves. Our group ordered regular breakfast items plus fresh toast. One minus was that the place wasn’t the cleanest.
Anyway, we will be back here because the service was great, food came fast and we loved the atmosphere.

I cannot praise this spot enough. I'd say this is a MUST go for any time of day. My Oreo waffle was absolutely delicious. Coffee was excellent. Waiter was extremely attentive and quick. Just go here, please! Such a great time

The dinner I ate was delicious. I highly recommend the Reuben wrap. The breakfast was okay; their hash browns aren't the best. The service is alright.

It is a great place with great food, and great service. But, it draws a lot of people to a very small space. Very cramped. But reasonable prices for great food.

Popular, but pricey. $30 for Lox platter, coffee and fruit cup seems like I'm helping them pay for Manhattan rents. Hey! Its New York.

The welcoming was warm and friendly. The service was very attentive and the food was very nice. I had eggs benedict, my partner had a vegetable omelette. We enjoyed our breakfast there, we would go back without hesitation.

Took 20 minutes to get coffee. Food was very mediocre and considering the price it was terrible. Over priced plastic eggs, cold toast and weak coffee.
