I really liked this jiu-jitsu school. Alvaro and Alex are great instructors and are good guys as well. The other students are very friendly and welcoming. People train hard there, and a lot of the members compete. Also, the online sign-up/membership website is super easy to use. I highly recommend @Jiu-Jitsu.

The place is dirty. They have waterbugs. Also, people steal there and the management doesn't care. I had my umbrella stolen, and they told me it's my own fault for leaving it.
EDIT:
I was just harassed by the owner. I was walking home from playing billiards, and the owner yelled at me about my review and intimidated me to try to get me to change my review. He followed me and told me he won't leave me alone until I took down my review. Thankfully, I was near a precint and he got scared.

My kids have been going to @JiuJitsu for a year now and not only do they love it but they have learned and grown so much thru it. It's such a great community. They are challenged and supported by their peers and the amazing staff. The summer camp was the perfect balance of Jiu jitsu and intros to new activities like salsa, chess, and tennis.

If you are looking to bring out the best person in you, this is the place to be! From day one you will feel that this place is home outside your home. My whole family practice different modalities here. My son loves this place.
All staff are very friendly, and along with the coaches, make sure that there’s a healthy friendly competitive environment. Every single coach is amazing, and they keep up with everyone’s learning pace while pushing you to a next level. And you’ll make a lot of good new friends!

A very excellent jiu jitsu dojo, the staff are very friendly, understanding and patient, the facility is extremely clean, it’s location on northern blvd makes it easily accessible, the location is a bit hidden but this makes it like finding a hidden gem, both GI and No GI classes are very engaging and enjoyable, the young women with the purple belt and glasses is an excellent instructor and her pace and style of instruction makes it very simple to understand as well, the classes are well worth the funds provided because you Will genuinely leave out of there with a new skill for your arsenal, the No GI classes are a bit more fast paced and advanced but still a great time and the fact that it’s set in another area of the gym like the basement gives it this really cool quirky vibe almost feeling as if we are meeting as a cult and doing jiu jitsu, but yes I would highly recommend this location for newcomers of jiu jitsu as this school is very loving and has a great roster of experienced practitioners, the striking classes are also pretty good in the sense there’s a well amount of intensity and you are taught how to strike and hold pads, so all and all this is a great location for the pricing and definitely a great addition to the Queens New York community

My son has become so mentally positive and loves to teach others about this art. Professor Alvaro loves teaching and he encourages all his students in every way. Same can be said about the coaches whom work with him.

My daughter’s second home. Training 2x to 3x a week not only provides strength and competence with Jiujitsu but helps her to be a better person.
They teach techniques and rules to avid for the sport and life:) Coaches are always hands, supportive and are most of the time willing to lend a listening ear.
We only have positive experiences and praises for this community.

Excellent place to learn, my children are members for a few years now. The professor never rushes his class he makes sure they learn what he's teaching. It's a friendly environment with great staff. Best of all he ends his class with words of wisdom. Thank You At-jiu-jitsu.

Ive been going here since they opened- great school. Good for those who want to train with their families as well as those who want to compete- which is a rare find in a jiu jitsu school. Alvaro is an amazing instructor for both adults and kids. He is dedicated to the sport and is invested in making sure his students do well. He is also an exellent competition coach. If you live in Jackson Heights, you need to check this place out!

My 7 year old has been coming here for the past (almost) year. He enjoys it and has fun in every class. I love that his confidence has boosted ever since attending his first class. Its all thanks to the dedication Professor Alvaro & the coaches have for the arts and each one of the students.
