A recent graduate here. Still in school to makeup the hours i was not able to attend.
I was a part time day school student and i have nothing but positive things to say about the school and instructors. From admissions to instructors they call you by name when i was like how can they remember all of us.
The classes were taught by amazing instructors most of them were past graduates with years of experience in the field. We get many opportunities to cover hours. Do clinic and we get to use high quality ingredients. Classes are small so we get to talk to the instructors and ask questions. The school is very strict with class start times and uniforms. And train us from day one about spa etiquette and how to work as a professional. I am happy i chose this school and i am excited for the next chapter of my journey. ️️

Great school i took a 75 hr waxing course the instructor was very helpful i completed my course in June now In July im employed in the waxing field. And i would like to thank atelier for a wonderful experience

Nastassia my instructor, my teacher she was the best really hands-on she really knows her info. Such a great school. I can’t wait Go back and get my esthetician license! I learned so much at Atelier Esthetique!

The only good thing about this school is the help you receive from financial aid when you have questions. Kevin is the best. Other than that do not attend here. The director Mr. Criss or whatever his name is plays favorites and everyone knows. He waits until 2 weeks before graduation to change what is expected from students. I tried calling him today to ask and all he wants is to over talk you and speak to you as if you're a child. He told me clinical for the upcoming graduating class started the end of May and expects them to have 75% of clinical by the first week of July but the clinic isn't open everyday. Make it make sense. I am reporting them to the BBB and i have a lawyer on it as we speak. This is complete unacceptable. It is not just students saying these things but also the people who work here. They have even hinted at possible relations between staff and students.

I am a current student, and from day one I enjoyed personalized attention, as they’re always there to help when anything arises. The instructors are knowledgeable in their subjects and are very nice, they also share their expertise in the real world which comes in handy. So far, I am glad I chose Atelier Esthetique.

I graduated from Atelier December 7,2021. I must say its up to you to make it happen. There are instructors who care less and there are instructors who do care. There is definitely a Hierarchy. Mr. Christmas and the other guy being on top and the instructors at the bottom. There were many of times myself and my class spoke of poor teaching skills. Chemistry was a chapter not even the instructors knew. I wrote an email to Mr. Christmas about Ms. Genevieve and Ms. Yaling teachings skills. CHOPPY! UNPROFESSIONAL! He pretty much questioned me as if it was wrong to point out the graduates he "hired" could do such a thing. This is not to discredit these ladies from their career but Chemistry along with Theory is NOT their strong suit. I WANT TO GIVE A HUGE APPRECIATION TO MS. KYRA, MS. KAREN AND MS. NASTASSIA!
MRS. KYRA AND MS. KAREN LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR WHAT ESTHETICS CAN POTENTIONALLY BE AS A CAREER.
MS. NASTASSIA IS BLUNT AND WILL GIVE YOU NOTHING BUT FACTS SHE HELPED ME AND THE WOMEN IN MY CLASS COMPLETE OUR PINK CARDS WITH HIGH 80'S. ALSO MS. VALERY IT WAS ROUGH IN THE BEGINNING BUT YOU STUCK IT OUT WITH THE ESTHETIGHTENS THANK YOU TOO!

I am happy I chose to attend Atelier Esthetique School. Everyone there wants to see the students succeed. I am part of the 2021 Weekend class and was blessed to be in the presence of awesome ladies. The instructors will stress the term teamwork which became more evident as the weeks went by.
Attending the school during Covid was difficult but the school definitely followed all the safety guidelines.

The teachers - Ms G, Ms. Lakweisha, Taecher Leo, Mr. Landon …. My coffee lady Ms Elizabeth … Ms Tessy Kindness…. Ms Regina… if patience was a person… I know I’m probably forgetting a few! Mr Christmas for never giving up on me even when I was hobbling thru the classrooms

The advanced courses provided at the school are informative and thorough.yes some may say costly, but you can’t actually learn via zoom.

There’s much more I can say, but I’ll end it with this…on our last day. …Mr. Christmas, the director, put out a beautiful spread for my class. There’s a lot the Instructors do that show how they go above and beyond.
So yes I recommend anyone to go here but remember you must put in the work!

Hello everyone who is reading my review. I want to share with you my experience of studying at Atelier Esthetique Institute! I'm from Russia and I'm 52) I was afraid that it was too late to change my career and I wouldn't be able to do it, plus I was studying in my second language. I admit, after a week of training I wanted to quit. But I couldn't, because of the teachers and Mr. Christmas. They are professionals in their field. I love them! Honestly, the program is complicated, but nothing is impossible if you have a goal and motivation. My first learning experience was with Miss Kira. She explains everything clearly and has an individual approach to everyone. I got all the basics of massage technics from her. Thank you Miss Kira! Miss Daniela is like a fairy godmother. So sweet and caring! She knows how to do everything and teaches in a very professional way and with an individual approach. Miss Karen is an amazing teacher and a beautiful person. She is so genuine and kind, and she is a very engaging instructor. I was looking forward to attend every class with her. And of course, Mr. Christmas. He is such a caring and good person! He knows all the students, remembers them and always helps and supports them. I want to thank all my instructors and mentors, for their patience and care! And of course I want to thank the whole staff of the school, because this is a TEAM! Miss Regina, thank you for always being helpful, responsive and available to any requests! All the best to you! This School is HORRIBLE. Definitely money hungry. The Instructors are extremely unprofessional, most of them don’t know any of the material being taught. They are disrespectful but demand respect Mr. Christmas is no help when it comes to anything dealing with instructors. We get nothing from our money but a license we still have to pay for this was a waste of money. COMMUNICATION is one of the biggest problems as well. Ms. Annette wouldn’t be happy with the way things are being run.

I graduated from this program but was not trained well as I was enrolled in a quarter system by myself. When it came time for me to step into the practical session with clients, I was denied my practical hours because I had no classmates & was forced to graduate early.

My weekend instructor was argumentative & harsh. She yelled all the time & it was not conducive to learning to be calm in the treatment room. It was a horrible experience & since i paid cash, I had no leverage.

I attended Christine Valmy for a weekend nail specialty course, & enjoyed the environment & professionalism at this school better.

I do not recommend weekend training. You will have better skills taking weekday classes at any trade school.

Horrible communication, poor email etiquette, and just rude. Don’t bother even contacting them regarding school information.they will tell you they have been busy and that their colleague needs to be reminded to check they’re email. I guess they don’t need students.

This school I would not recommend to anybody that haven’t taken a esthetics course before they don’t give u a kit like other school this school is about money Mr. Christmas was very rude and they don’t like to work with students that having a hard time with the course they work very fast I heard the advanced course is better I wouldn’t recommend this school they told me personally that they thought esthetics wasn’t the career for me like how u gonna tell me what’s for me I finished my course in another school they actually taught me and helped me with what this school couldn’t!

I absolutely loved my time here.i graduated at the end of 2020 and just recently became licensed.all of the instructors are super knowledgeable and so passionate about the skin and beauty industry.i took the full-time program in the middle of the pandemic and the school went above and beyond with all of the necessary precautions.i loved all of my classmates and we all still keep in touch.i highly recommend this school if you're thinking about becoming an esthetician.my journey here leading me to kick off a new, exciting career has completely transformed my life.so, stop looking at other schools and go here!

I graduated October 2020, learned very valuable information, from the great instructors who taught it all online for the first few months of the course, to the hands on knowledge for the practical portion. I am now a licensed Esthetician and I can say Atelier exceeded my expectations, I would recommend it to anyone considering a career in esthetics!

They closed the school for that huge snow storm in December, and then told me I needed to make up hours for the day the school closed. Some teachers are nice and polite though

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL! There is so many schools in nyc do not waste your time or money on this school they only want you money they denied my financial aid, the teacher only read from the textbooks they have no time management and spend sooo much time talking about unnecessary things you do not get a kit so you basically just paying for their time. Once I told them I can’t pay on time the dropped me right away with out hesitating or trying to figure out a way a can still get my education with a different paying plan that fits me. They don’t care about you. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY
