The food was amazing, but this place had a weird vibe.did not feel very warm to the guests

Place is clean and well maintained. Food are quick and delicious and affordable. Definitely visit again

VERY PRICEY! Don't know how long ago those pics were taken but my big dishes had small portions and barely any meat. The style of cooking is Chinese but it's the new style with a twist inspired by HK and fancy cooking schools in Beijing and other big cities not the old authentic traditional styles I grew up with. Service was very quick outside. Would be nice if someone would be attentive to unisex restrooms wet floors, low on paper towels, but still OK. Ordered 8 dishes and 11 bowls of rice.

Best food in town! Amazing service from everybody made me and my family feel like a parts of theirs. Recommend evryone to try it!

The service was very unfriendly and unwelcoming! We felt like they wanted to get rid of us the whole time! And the food wasn’t that great either…The meat was almost only bones and the portions were really small! And the prices were WAY too high! Overall a very bad experience and a waste of money!

They Sat us down and Never served us, mind you a large group came Later then us and they served them right away with tea and silver wear. As we sat right across from them unserved. I’m not finish yet, so when we put on our jackets, the manager came to us and ask us if we were “leaving” We said “Yes” and he just took our menus. We honestly felt that it was the BROWN SKIN THEY didn’t wAnt us in there, I mean the manager wasn’t even concern why we left And the server didn’t even ask why we were leaving or shown any concern either. I came to the conclusion that they just don’t like black ppl In there. So good luck if your a brown skin tone sister or Brother going in there and I’ am not embellishing Neither. They were a little pricey but I was willing to pay, so that was their lost‍️!

My brother and I both got food poisoned.
The waiter pushed us soooooooooooooooo hard to order.
I spent $260 for 2 people’s meal.

I was a loyal customer to August Gathering. I invited friends visiting NYC to this place. But my experience last evening make me not going there anymore: (

One of my favorite cantonese restaurants in nyc. I have visited several times and this time ordered takeout and finally have some time to take photos The signature chicken, mushroom tofu, steak fried rice and lamb are all pretty good. The duck is so so.

The wait time is insane. They kept telling me there’s about a 15 minutes wait, but the table was not ready even after 1 hour.

The staff kept refilling our bowls even though we asked them not to, probably to justify charging us extra tips in the end. (over 20%, which we might’ve paid anyway but it’s always disgusting when restaurants try to force you to tip a certain amount in sneaky ways)

Found hair in one appetizer which raised our concern for sanitation issues and impacted dining experience. The flavor of food was above average but was pricey as well. I think there are many similar restaurants in Chinatown with more reasonable prices.

Great experience overall. The service is attentive and friendly. Two of us order four dishes could be a bit too much. Did not finish all at the end. The fried rice is big portion and also love the interesting combination of wok fried papaya and prawn.

Lobster with flat rice noodle 5/5 I think this dish is really great, the lobster is fresh, but the rice noodle is just a bit thick. Overall it’s amazing.

Mushroom rice 4/5 I like the dish, but just need a tiny bit of flavor more.

Green onion oil fish 5/5 overall really fresh fish, and the sauce is really great.

Shredded Tofu soup 3/5 don’t like the soup too much, I like clear soup better than the thick soup with lots of starch.

Overall great experience, but I would complain one thing about the service that I felt rushed when I was dinning. The waiter immediately take off all dishes even tho we were still kinda working on it. This is a common thing you see in Chinatown restaurants just wish it to be improved in the future.
