Ausable Brewing Company reviews
16One of my favorite breweries I've ever been to. Perfect spot to enjoy a chill night with good music, beer, and food from the food trucks.
Very nice place with a country atmosphere (concerts). The beers are good and it is possible to eat on site. The place is charming.
This is really cool - definitely very rustic, but a great summer spot. They have great beers and even a couple homemade sodas. The brewery doesn't offer food, but there's a food truck on site that has delicious grilled cheese and waffle fries. Bathrooms are only porta-potties, but at least there's an outdoor sink to use. Great spot for kids and adults alike!
Good beer, nice place and good ambiance. Was really surprised with the Wayne Legitzky beer, made for Wayne Gretzky.
Ausable Brewing Company has become one of my go-to stops any time I'm visiting the Peru / Plattsburgh area. Their beers are tasty and refreshing, their giant open-air barn is always accommodating, the vibe and atmosphere are welcoming and positive, and there's usually a food truck with some sort of tasty dinner item (or three) to compliment drinks. This visit in August 2023 included some rockin' live music from a band with a drummer who vaguely resembled Squirrely Dan. Does it get any better than this?
This brewery is out of this world good. It's low key, rural, and the beers are top notch. I was up in the north country for a week and I hit a new brewery every day while I was there. This was the only brewery I visited twice. I think that says enough.
Always a great place for a cold beer! Beautiful setting and great tasting craft beer! Can't beat the combination!
Relaxed atmosphere, nice music and a diverse range of beer styles make this a must visit when we’re in the area. Recent faves are Muddle, a bourbon barrel aged brew and the seasonal strawberry rhubarb Brett, made with locally-grown rhubarb. We also really like Dubs BBQ, the food truck that is frequently there.
I found myself here by chance and very happy to have stopped. The beer is good and the atmosphere too. There was a band playing country music.
Excellent beer, outstanding staff who are all friendly and take any time that you need to explain their beers or offer a taste. Dubs BBQ chicken meal was exceptionally good! Special thanks for the excellent HARVEST HOSTing: truly appreciate it!
Decent food truck. Decent beer selection. Many picnic tables with umbrellas & some unde4 cover. Not sure what they do in winter?
It was all a happy place after long day of physical activity!
Go here for the best parts of small town summer. Hard to beat food trucks and local brews! Pack your lawn chairs just in case, it gets busy!
Great beer.many types! Fun place for families with kids and dogs. Dobbs BBQ was there on Friday night and that was also very tasty!
So much fun! Small, outdoor (there is an open barn in case of weather or to get out of the sun) brewery with that small, hometown country feel. Unfortunately, the food truck (BBQ) wasn’t to my liking but if you like the simple, country vibe and live music, this place is for you! Oh, and the beer is pretty darn good!
Standout craft brewery in the area. Bring the family for live music great food and great beer.
Choose your own lawn seating and covered pavilion with plenty of tables and chairs. Walkthrough beer ordering and food from local trucks like Dubbs BBQ or Northern Feast.
A local gem now a regional landmark!
A worthy "destination brewery" even if it looks a bit out of your way. This is a great spot to hit if you're going to Ausable Chasm, and worth going out of your way even if you're driving through in any direction. The beer is terroir beer based lots of local things and has a crew that is definitely into brewing as a passion and love to take time to talk to anyone about anything - but especially beer.
