Avalon Nature Preserve reviews
15This is a beautiful park and a great place to walk any time of year. There are different pathways so you can walk as short or as long as you'd like with beautiful scenery and well kept landscapes and walkways. Bring the kids and dogs, all is welcome. ️?
I come here with my wife and two kids every weekend. No need to go to any other States to go to famous hiking trails. The best thing in Long Island!
Beautiful walkways and very scenic. A little too "peopley" for me later in tge day.
Avalon Nature Preserve is one of my new favorite places to visit. Beautiful, well-tended trails.
Took a nice walk visited Meditation sites. Saw fall foliage. Visited the Letters To Heaven. It was such a nice day!
One of my favorite places to come and experience nature.
However, due to overcrowding, it's not so enjoyable the past few years.
When we went they were still in the process of redoing part of it, so it was a little under construction, but a very nice park. It starts off with a little board walk around 2 ponds (note: there are stairs - not accessible). Despite going at peak park time it wasn't even that crowded, mostly just at the entrance. Everyone's dog was well behaved. I saw a bunch of people in heels and sandals, which definitely wouldn't be my suggestion as after the boardwalk it gets sandy/dirty.
Loved it! Sooo beautiful and a great workout! So many butterflies and the little waterfalls were breathtaking. Definitely a spot you have to visit if your looking for a get away into nature! It's like an escape from reality!
Lovely park, there are ponds, a meadow, a couple sculptures, a fire pit, a paving stone maze though there aren't walls. Only thing is there are lots of hills in areas so if you have bad knees might not be good for you.
Nice preserve for the whole family to enjoy. Decent, well kept trails with adequate elevation changes that makes for a good workout. Lots to see there as well, from the ponds to the labyrinth. Paved and dirt paths make for relatively easy access to all
Very clean and maintained park. Great deal of investment is being put into this park and it is evident. It is maintained and is a nice location to get some exercise and some relaxation.
I've been going here for years and years.gets better all the time.
Love the improvements and look forward to seeing progress every time.
Quality work.
Awesome, great place to hike, walk, check out nature, read, relax etc. Many thanks to the very generous owner whom had this built in memory of his children for all to share and respect responsibly.
Avalon is a lovely escape into nature. Trails are very well kept and labeled. I always come here to just relax and unwind on a trail.
Avalon Nature Preserve is a beautiful spot for a short, easy, local hike in the woods for a hour. Been going with the kids since they were little. It's like a yearly tradition now.
