16I was in Oyster Bay with wonderful bushes and folage. Dust and branches may have touched the car, no damage, but dirt from car and bushes was on car. The return man said car damaged. When I first left the parking lot, I told the guard gate there are some scatches on the car, and he said he got that down. No problem. I did see that, but dust does not mean scatches. I don't plan on using AVIS again, when the gate's man statement is not put into the records.
The keys were inside vehicle when I closed the door and got locked out, the car sensor was faulty where it failed detect the keys inside vehicle. After calling customer support they sent dispatch (wait 2 hours on street) without even telling you that they will bang you with $215 for a 1 minute fix to your credit card without your authorization. They would charge customer for their own vehicles fault without their authorization. Neither would customer support tell you that the lockout service is subject to out of pocket fee.
I was a loyal Hertz customer for years due to corporate discounts. I gave Avi a shot a year or so ago, and I've been so happy with that choice. The website is much easier to navigate, and the cars are more affordable. Axis Preferred makes pickup and check-in a breeze.
Hector was so polite and helpful, he was a delight to meet. He was very fast at checking me out and did it with a warm smile. He help me find how much I will pay in toll and guided me in the right direction for the shuttle. Thanks my new friend
The gentleman at the counter made me upgrade the car. I did NOT want to. He insisted I pay 60 extra dollars for a Jeep. I never wanted a Jeep. It was midnight and he said that I would have to go somewhere else! Where would I go? So he literally forced me to agree to the upgrade. When I got to the car it was very dirty. I have pictures of some of the dirt. There were also dirty masks under the driver's seat. Also, when I had to go out side to find the car in the dark - it wasn't there. It took over an hour to complete this process and I was completely disappointed. What a shame because I could not be more polite.
Horrible service front the desk clerks. STAY AWAY, you will regret renting from this AVIS location. Customer service is horrible, very impolite. Also you have to take two shuttles to get to any of the terminals other than A. If you are planning on having checked in bags, better get an UBER.
I have used Avis for many years. I have always been satisfied with the cars, the prices, and the customer service. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
This was my first time in a while renting from Avis and Manny was truly helpful! Based on my experience this trip I will be renting exclusively with Avis.
The whole staff, from the shuttle driver to the car receiving team were so helpful!
I had left a sweater with a small but expensive headset in the pocket.
We rushed back to the rental center from the terminal when I realized.
The shuttle driver advised us, the counter didn’t make us wait, and the guys that turn the cars over hustled so hard for us.
We were back on the shuttle and off the terminal in no time.

Preferred member picking up a car on 9/17 - staff was very rude. They also gave us a very old car without any navigation system or Maps integration. Bad service. Don't use AVIS. Other rental companies like National will give you a better experience.
```Very easy to rent, the check in and check out process was very easy and seamless. The vehicle was very clean and maintained. Gas station right across the street.
Totally unprepared for the amount of people. If you book online you still gotta wait in line about 30-45 mins. If you book through a service like priceline they dont know anything about your booking nor do they give you the car you pick online. I hope they bill me what the receipt says. Also no cups for the water cooler ot well marked bathrooms
It was easy to pick up the vehicle and fast services and rental rate was very reasonable plus vehicle is new fleet.

Very long wait get a car even though we had a reservation, then the worker couldn't process a Costco reservation and we had to wait again for manager. He said this is how it's been.
Loved the check in the night before when the morning came showed my license and credit card and was on my way and drop off was simple also
The worst car rentals company ever special when the worker in the morning lie about not having cars but all they wanted was extra money in their pockets 7: 30 am worker
