I like to eat here because it taste good, healthy and I want to be slim and beautiful like Ethiopian

The best Ethiopian I’ve had in NYC. The injera is incredible and so are the accompanying dishes!

They have been in business for a very long time. It has been at least 13-14 years since I've visited. The quality has declined sign. I was the first customer of the day and it tasted like they fed me last night's food.

Their Ginfilfil is so delicious. I love the tibs wat is great. Only knock is that prices are on the high side.

Food was ok, service was very poor. Brought to table and sat and waited 20+ minutes without anyone coming by to check in, pour water or take orders. Finally flagged a waiter for water then waited another 10+ minutes to order. When food came out, they had forgotten about the spicy sauce we ordered, then brought out the wrong sauce at first when we asked them for it. Restaurant was maybe 70-80% full.

One of my favorite spots in the city. If you’re a vegetarian/vegan this place is a must - the veggie combo is outstanding. Super cute vibes and lighting inside.

I love Ethiopian food, and this place is among my favorite in the city. There’s a pleasant atmosphere and it’s consistently great. The UWS is lucky to have it!

I ordered sampler for one. The food was bad, way too oily and lacked any distinct flavour which Ethiopian dishes are known for. I have eaten a lot of Ethiopian food in west coast and this is just plain bad. On top of that, took 20 minutes to just get the check, on a slow night.

Delicious! Loved the sambusa (incredible house-made spicy sauce!) and the veggie sampler plate and the spiced tea.

My first time eating Ethiopian food and I must say it was very pleasant. A friendly stuff, delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. Be ready to eat with your hand and fingers! Delicious!

Loved loved this place. It was my first time getting Ethiopian food and I thought it was amazing. Got the veggie platter and the spices/seasoning was soo good. The combo together was delicious- really loved the beets complementing the chickpea mix. Everything was wrapped in a type of bread/wrap which has a kind of grainy texture but is very complementary. Got this for take out and 100% would get again. Large portion as we had it for 2 meals.

It was my first time trying Ethiopian and I’m happy I tried it here. We got a sampling platter and everything was delicious. I highly recommend their lentil stews! 5/5!

Awesome food. The Injera bread is so comforting and the meat sauces are perfectly spicy. Perfect food when you’re really hungry and don’t want to work too hard and also want to try a lot of different dishes. Well suited for a group of people to share.

I loved this place. Excellent waitress, great atmosphere (afro-beats playing slightly), and fantastic food. I highly recommend to try at least once.

I wasn’t excepted such meals from awash Ethiopian restaurant it’s too bad food they are serving I don’t even call it food it’s something. They just missed use the name of awash. For no reason. The cost of the food the price I Paid it did cost me luxury restaurants.

This was a fun experience to go with friends. The food is delicious and fun to share with the bread.

Food was awesome! We got the meat sampler which came with goat, beef, and chicken, and plenty of veggies. Would definitely recommend.
