AweSum DimSum reviews
11Arguably the best dim sum in NYC! Better than any of those much lauded with long history dim sum restos at Chinatown like Jing Fong or Unicorn. Even Tim Ho Wan can’t beat this place (most Asians don’t think THW is that good anyways). I ordered almost everything except for the rice/noodles dishes. Star picks are house dumplings, baked bbq pork bun, crispy shrimp roll and turnip cake. If u have been to HK, then this place matches the taste and flavor. As it’s Covid season, I had take-out so I have about 10 small plastic boxes and that’s one area I hope they can improve upon ergo 4 stars. Will definitely dine in when the rona fiasco is over.
Delicious! I live a few blocks from AweSum DimSum but had not tried it before today. I was craving some dim sum, so I decided to stop in to try it out. All I can say is – WOW. The dim sum was so delicious! Also, the space itself is extremely beautiful and tasteful. I really like the interior of the restaurant – new, clean, and modern. The kitchen looked extremely clean and organized. It’s cool to be able to see the chefs cooking behind the counter. I really really liked this place and I will 100% be back. Extremely nice and friendly staff too!
Just discovered this place around the corner from me today.super clean establishment that was very welcoming.the sio mai and baked bbq buns were incredible.good to know i can get dim sum more frequently now!
This place is amazing! Authentic and great value! Having grown up eating dim sum my whole life, it’s safe to say this place can play in the big leagues of dim sum. Also stoked to have a new neighborhood spot so I don’t have to haul down to Chinatown to get perfect pork buns love it here!
I think this place is clean, modern and the service is good. However, I ordered a Siu Mai and BBQ pork for lunch and they are just so so particularly the Siu Mai. I am from Hong Kong, so I definitely know what a good dim sum should taste like! I give an overall three stars but if it is just the food, I will only give a two stars.
Had a craving for dimsum and was so wonderfully surprised at the excellent quality of the dimsum! It was awesome! The server was so friendly and accommodating and the service was fast! The resto is simple, brightly lit and spacious! Highly recommended!
Such a great new community spot! Easy, quick, and such great food. As a dim sum lover, I’m just so glad AweSum DimSum moved in:)
Also, Frank, the owner is a lovely person.
I’ve been to a LOT of dimsum places but this is one of the TOP PLACES. The place has perfect atmosphere, the food is 10/10, and the service is super friendly. Will come back again when I am in nyc!
The food was absolutely mouthwatering. The dimsum that AweSum DimSum offers is probably the best I have had in the city thus far, and their wings are to die for. Make sure to get there somewhat early since it is a popular place or else you'll have to wait for a good while. But definitely worth the wait! I'm definitely going to eat at AweSum DimSum again soon and often!
So glad AweSum Dimum exists! Best dimsum I've had outside of chinatown in Manhattan! The har Gow, the siu mai, and the steamed vegetarian rolls = A+ nom!
Everyone is so kind and respectful, the restaurant is spotless, and the food is amazing. I always look forward to trying something new here. Highly recommend.
