Ayhan's Shish-Kebab Restaurant, Port Washington NY

This site is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place.when I I need a good lunchon, this restaurant comes straight to my mind.superb and all sorts of food and a large menu.professional staff, and nice atmosphere. Also, the pay is good. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Ive only gone to their Baldwin location and thought I would try the Port Washington one. Big disapointment. I always get the braised lamb shank in Baldwin and I was craving it so I ordered it thinking it would be the same recipe but it wasnt. Port Washington made it with tomatoes, it had a funny taste and not as tender. The one in Baldwin falls off the bone its so tender you only need a fork and no tomatoes, only braised goodness. The rice pilaf wasnt the same either. My husband had the grilled octopus and I tried it, it was not very tender and we were not impressed. Also, Baldwin has a great dinner special for $35 pp that includes an app, entree, desert and a glass of wine. PW did not. The only thing I can say about PW is the falafel was really good, the decor was much nicer than Baldwin and our waiter “Julio” was very good. Being our first sit down dinner inside a restaurant after 4 months of Covid we were happy to be out but we will stick to Baldwin and our usual waiter “Juan Carlos” who is amazing.

Exceptional food, welcoming staff members, always good ambience. They charge convenient rates and the food quality is good. Kudos.

From the first moment you enter this restaurant the stuff gives you a comfortable feeling. Very warm stuff, it is a happy restaurant to enjoy with your friends or with your date.tasty cuisine, qualified chef de cuisine, reasonable price and professional service. Highly recommended.

Went with two friends. Food was horrible! Ordered soft shell crab. Was served an ice cold soggy mess. When pointed out to waiter he became enraged and annoyed. I have never experienced anything like this. This restaurant should be closed down and shutered. What was once the crown jewel in Port is now a horror! Stay away!

Got there at 2pm for the buffet. Which i was told they would replentish. I waited 40 minutes. It was never done. I was really mad. How can they charge $20 for a brunch buffet thats half empty?

The food and was excellent.
Never disappointed when we eat. We've been eat there for 30 years.

Good for Sunday brunch special: the glass of wine cost s only 1 (that is right one) dollar. The food is a Turkish and Greek mix, generally good, but rather expensive should you get there at regular hour. I like the decor: loots of air and reminds you about Greece. Waiters are nice and the service is fast.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to! We went with another couple and the service was very slow and got nothing right. 2 hours went by people came and went. The food was left sitting and they brought it to us cold. I asked for a Grey Goose Martini and they made up a concoction that was putrid. Asked for anchovies they gave me yogurt. Said they had no Grey Goose and no anchovies. The inmates took over the asylum.

Very nice restaurant, fussing Greek and Turkish cuisine (aka "best two cuisines" ;-) with tasteful decor and great food. Good for families, great Turkish and Greek music, trully suggested

The Original Mediterranean Restaurant in Long Island. Easy to see right off of Main Street in Port Washington, New York. Great location by the water. They have their own parking lot, and there is parking on the street, but it fills up fast especially on the weekends and at night. Traditional Turkish Cuisine with daily drink and food specials. We will definitely be going back.

Took off one star for slow service, but still one of the best places for Mediterranean in Port Washington. Been coming here for years.

Very disappointed, this place was known for it's Greek salad, the dressing particularly.missed the boat!

Ayhan's finally figured out that Long Island is fed up with their subpar food and obnoxious staff. Half of their locations have closed for good as this business is in a downward spiral toward bankruptcy. I can't wait for this location to close as well. Ayhan's is DEAD to Long Island.

I was just in there, and that place was disgusting! There were fly's everywhere touching the food.do yourselves a favor, and cancel any reservation, because that place is unsanitary

I have had an occasional visit to the Sunday Brunch Buffet, and the selections are quite satisfying. My main "deals" with it is the average hotel-style egg and the less-than superb sausage. Other than that, a wonderful place, where I suggest visiting.

There are a bunch of locations all over nassau county.we usually go to the main one in port washington.very friendly service and great for kids.you will never be disappointed with the food.its not a michelin 3 star place, but you'll be satisfied when you leave both in your stomach and in your wallet.

You can't beat the value of their Sunday brunch. Unbelievable selection from brunch favorites to all types of salads fish and many other dishes. Wonderful desserts

This is a great restaurant. Good food, clean and friendly staff.
Pay no attention to other negative reviews and try it for youself. Port Washington is a wealthy town full of rich people with unrealistic expectations. This is not a fine dining place and it does not advertise itself in this manner.
