Bagel Mentch, Great Neck NY

I just had a very rude racist experience at bagel Mentch. I was on the phone speaking to my business partner when I decided to run in and grab a couple of bagels and be on my way. I was ignored and then told we don’t serve people that’s on the phone. I thought about it for a moment, and then said, if I was a White man, doing my business on the phone, you would have been glad to serve me. He started arguing with me, about me playing the race card. I told him I didn’t believe that. How about me playing the factual card? I said have a nice day to take my business elsewhere. He still arguing with me walking out the door. Then he yelled that I was ignorant. So I turn back into the store, and address this Karen. Then he said he would call the police. Really Karen!

Horrible and disgusting customer service. Stay away from this shop don’t waste money and time not worth it.

Most delicious bagel spot in Great Neck. Bagels are always fresh, as is their appetizing. Great service as well. Look forward to continue supporting this business.

Nice location, only one employee is really nice.food and service should be way better. I’ve heard bagel boss wants to open in Great Neck, lets see if they can survive.

Bad service. Overpriced. Tastes like cardboard. My dream is for another kosher bagel place to open in great neck.

Terrible customer service. One of the workers literally tried to fight me. I canceled my order and I just walked out.

Disappointed. Vaughn was polite and helpful when I placed the order to be sent to the Hospital for nurses and staff.
- I was told the delivery guy (who got a chunky tip) can go in a side door through the cafeteria and bring it right up. It sat on a counter near the check in for 2 hours. No call or notification that it was delivered.
- Asked for plates, Napkins and knives.got none of it.
- I asked to please include a message from my husband and I including his room number. The message was incomplete and the room number incorrect.

One of the workers was completely rude and acted in a threatening manner "what you gonna do about it" to a younger woman and me.
We tried the food and it had no flavor. I couldn't even take more than a few bites. How do you mess up omelette bagel?

I had a toasted bagel with jelly and a Chocolate Milk. The bill was $6 and chamge. Bagel was good, Chocolate Milk was a little warm but good. I would definitely eat here again. A little expensive I thought but overall very good, clean and help was friendly and courteous.

Not sure a mensch would just decide to not deliver a meal for a shiva bc they are too busy, despite my order being placed days in advance. Id show a picture of the food but it never came so now a poor grieving family has no food.

Was supposed to receive order for shiva for 10 am and nothing was delivered. And the people that ordered were told they were busy. Very disappointing!

They have VEGAN cream cheese and their costumer service was great. There is a sign that says non-diary and when I asked they say they use tofu cream cheese and mix in veggies. Thank you so much on behalf of the vegans.

Bagel sucked. Lox is super greasy and doesnt taste great, even the pickle tasted odd. The only good part was the bagel itself. If i had it toasted with butter i probably wouldve enjoyed it. But the lox is really weird. I hope i dont get sick. Threw it out after eating a few bites.

They have great bagels, they do takeout, eat in and provide excellent catering, but they are understaffed. When it isn't crowded, the service is good. Often there can be long waits though.

Similar as others have mentioned, the bagels are good but the customer service could improve. I asked for a lox bagel with veg cream cheese with onion and tomato. I came home and noticed I got a lox bagel with regular cream cheese and nothing else. I think service can be improved but wanted to provide constructive criticism.

Great bagels, best on the island. Closest to real NYC bagels I have found other than Essex Street in Manhattan
