The guy who take the order have an attitude and rude to the customer i never go back to this place again have abad service

Hands down the best fried chicken banh mi in New York (literally I cannot find fried chicken banh mi anywhere else, please let me know if you know a place!). They also have extremely delicious drinks and dessert. There are 7-8 tables for sitting and this place fills up with students and people around the area throughout the day. There is also a bathroom.

We ordered a chicken banh mi, classic banh mi, a fried chicken rice bowl (which I substituted for grilled chicken, though I think grilled chicken is more expensive), an iced Vietnamese coffee, and a pandan waffle (not pictured).

Both banh mis were delicious in their own way. The fried chicken was super crispy, tender, hot, and not dry. The bread was toasted slightly on the outside so every bite included a crunch from the bread into some pickled carrots, cilantro, cucumber, and a bit of crispy chicken. You can order the banh mi spicy or not and the spicy version includes jalapeños. The classic banh mi has the standard banh mi pate and ham ingredients inside. If you like the classic flavors, you’ll like this one. The fried chicken rice bowl was similar to the chicken banh mi but just over a piping hot mound of white rice. This rice was cooked perfectly, was slightly sticky and soft, and blended amazingly with the crispy chicken. We were also offered some cilantro sauce and spicy mayo on the side and both sauces added that touch of extra flavor explosion. I personally loved the cilantro sauce. It was herby, a little salty, and just added some moisture to the carbs.

The iced viet coffee was quite sweet but I believe you can adjust the sweetness level. It’s pretty good for viet coffee but it is pre-made and not drip made for each order. The star of the show (which I forgot to take a photo of because I was too excited to eat it) was the pandan egg waffle. Not many places make good egg waffles and even fewer places make pandan egg waffles. I believe the bambu cafe in Manhattan has pandan waffles as well but they are just waffles and not egg waffles. Egg waffles have little egg shaped ovals in the waffle. This creates little breakable ovals that have crispy edges and soft and moist insides. The waffle is not too sweet and the pandan flavor really shines. I may like this more than the fried chicken I touted earlier. If you are in the area, you MUST come and try this place!

Consistently some of the best drinks in Stony Brook, and although the food menu isn’t advertised as much as the drinks, every item has been fantastic. The Thai tea, pandan waffles, and any type of banh mi are all standouts, but you won’t be disappointed with anything you try.

A nice surprise to find Vietnamese che and other drinks (shaved ice drinks with fruit or jelly toppings).

The size was perfect for the price and the toppings especially the chewy pandan jelly was delicious. The drink also was not too sweet.

They have foods like vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and spring rolls. We got the classic bahn mi and it was delicious! Would definitely come around again.

There's a restroom on the side. There was a short line when we got there but it moved pretty fast and the person helping at the register was super friendly and efficient!

Bambu is definitely a favorite of mine, whether it is for milk tea or food. A snack favorite is the waffle. My favorite dish in general would be the vermicelli bowl. I don't live in the area, but it's worth the drive. The service is always great. They treat you with such kindness, I can't complain at all. If you're ever in the area and want to try something new, please give them a try.

First time trying Korean BBQ. Thankfully I was with friends who made recommendations. I had the BBQ steak and enjoyed it. It comes with unlimited sides of broccoli, potato's, rice, radishes, soy beans and more. The price was very reasonable and the restaurant was clean. The servers were very attentive and our food was cooked perfectly. I give them four stars because the bathrooms were both locked the entire time that we were there so we could not use them.

Food is very tasty, never had a problem with the food OR the service, we go often. I’ve seen other reviews about rude employees, never had that experience. Love the strong Vietnamese coffee? Love the rewards!

Went here for a quick drink on the way back home. The service was extremely fast, as my drinks came out within 4 minutes of ordering it. The drinks were smooth and nice. I tried the popping boba here, which is usually my favourite, but didn't like it as much as the tapioca pearls my friend got (I typically don't like it). The tapioca here was slightly chewy and tssted just right. Would recommend giving it a try!

Great Viet drinks shop that also sells food. Can get a little bit busy at times. The portions are pretty generous. The dessert drinks can be a little on the sweet side.

Lovee their variety of drinks. Their food is also pretty good, I do have to say that the guy in the front, is usually in a bad mood no matter how nice you try to be. Eveytime u order something he's huffing and puffing n giving an attitude, in person and on the phone. Kinda sucks.other than that I do enjoy this place alot!

Update: some staff do have attitude for no reason. An older female lectured me, literally lectured me for not giving her a head up about requesting for hot sauce, she kept on lecturing and ended it with "this time I will give it to you, but next time you have to let me know earlier, so I can prepare it for you". All I said to her was "can I have hot sauce, please? " That was it. It was a rainy day, there was no customer or online order beside me. Her attitude and lecture were so uncalled for.

Love this place. Feel like home. Their banh mi is always on point

The pork rice bowl tastes great. Classic Bahn Mi is average. Bambu Special Che is below average. Watery, not much shaved ice, didn't expect that all fruit ingredients are in jelly-like form, all artificial (use of natural fruit ingredients will make it much better and over the top). Staff are nice and courteous.

Rude employee helped me. Actually “helped me” is a overstatement. I asked him what do you recommend its my first time here. And he said everything is good, can you hurry up. But i looked behind me there was nobody behind me so what is the rush? Therefore, i just left. Heavily dissapointed.

We tried real fruit tea (mango and lychee) with basil seed. They were both tasty and refreshing.

Their drinks are great. Nothing is too sweet and the bubbles are the perfect consistency. Maybe I just visited on a bad day, the person helped me with my order was a bit impatient but everything else was great.

The atmosphere is good the food is good giving a not so good review due to the rude employee with the black hair and tattoos. My girlfriend ordered a drink and she didn’t like it and we weren’t allowed a refund he told us “well we didn’t pick the flavor for you” what on earth is this response. Im actually disappointed since it was my first time there…

My sister and I go here all the time for their bubble tea. Fast service, delicious bubble tea, and many other options—including food—to choose from.
