Bar-Eat-O, Geneseo NY

I ordered a beef burrito, loaded nachos, chips and queso, and 2 bottles of soda. It came to just over $25. Everything was fresh and tasted good the place was clean and the workers were friendly. I would order from here agian.

I just moved from Dallas I’ll admit the food in this part of the world is underwhelming. So I was surprisingly amazed with this place. The food was similar to Chipotle but the flavors taste a lot better. The chef brought over some Churros for my kids. They have a lifetime customer.
Can’t wait to come back and try something from the bar.

Love coming here. Best burritos I've ever had. Can only go about once a year but I always make it a point.

Had the 3 Taco special for $7.50 on Tuesdays. I think it's $9.50 the rest of the week. Had 1 steak, 1 carnitas, and 1 fish. All delicious and fresh with lots of options for toppings. I'll definitely go back.

The food here was really good. I was suprised how flavorful everything was. I got the all American beef and then tried the tequila pork and the barbacoa. It all tasted really great the vibe is really nice and chill and the employees are exceptional. The chef was very nice and gave the kids churros that he made fresh. It was delicious. I would definitely come back here when visiting.

I've been here several times, both for food and drinks. When they first opened, I was super excited to try it. It was fine. With time, I hoped, it would get better. Sadly, this wasn't true.

The food has always been 'meh' at best. Personally, I like Chipotle's food better. There are more options here, but it seems like everything sits out for long periods of time and the taste reflects that.

I've had good experiences at the bar during the day. However, this was years ago. It was never that busy. I don't know if this place gets wild at night with the college kids.

***My most recent visit, there was no bartender. That meant we couldn't get drinks. There were people sitting at the bar just waiting and not one staff member acknowledged them. There was also a sign posted: "one drink per patron. " Pretty bad for a Saturday at 3PM. ***

Geneseo needed a taco place on Main St. Too bad this one misses the mark.

Amazing food at a decent price. Arguably better than Chipotle. Plus you can't beat the atmosphere.

Great food and super quick. Lots of fresh herbs and fresh salsa. They often don't have the bar open anymore but it's no big deal. Lots of places are having trouble with staffing so I understand.

NEVER OPEN NO MATTER WHAT. Doesnt matter if the website says open, if their door says open, or even if thwre are people in there eating and looking at you.always.closed.

A couple of people recommend this place. The food wasn't good nor the service. Gave 2 stars bc the inside does look awesome.

We stopped in for a first visit at lunchtime on a very quiet Saturday. The place is much bigger inside than it looks from the road and I would imagine it’s a great college bar in the late evening. I wasn’t very hungry, so ordered just a couple tacos. My initial request was for the Chorizo, but was told that it wasn’t available at that time, so I chose the Baja Fish taco. They were just okay. I suppose it’s unfair to compare them to the fresh fish in a Florida restaurant as this is not remotely in the same class of place. Bar-Eat-O is a college town bar with some just okay food. Probably not worth the great reviews as others have posted. Not really recommended, unless it’s midnight on a Saturday and you’re 20 years old.

Dang. Went to Geneseo and frequented this place at least twice a week. They have really nice specials and Margs on tequila Tuesday and the chicken on their burritos is to die for. I LOVE BAR EAT O.

I've lived in the area for about five years and always heard terrible things about their food. But I bit the bullet and finally ate here. The flavors are PHENOMENAL! The only reason why I dropped a star is that when we got the tacos, the meat wasn't even throughout. The atmosphere is perfect, the seating is comfortable, and it's very welcoming!

Parking is the only horrible thing about it. There's a small lot next to it with spots for the restaurant, however parking is tight, particularly in the winter and anything larger than a small car. Can find reasonable parking nearby if you don't mind paying the meter.

Incredibly hard rice. Very annoying. They are also always out of ingredients. Out of chicken one night out of beef the next, no corn, no tomato. Taste is fresh though the second time around when the rice is cooked properly.

The food was awesome. However the bartender acted like he was at the bar socializing, rather than tending properly to his customers.

Not a bad spot and the food was really good and an interestingselection of cocktails especiallymargaritas. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of going on a Friday in early September, when the students were all back. The staff just couldn't keep up with all of the students orders to get around to taking ours. The crowd and the wait times were really the only negatives.

Nice clean place. Nice people. Good food. We got one pulled chicken burrito and one quinoa tofu bowl and both were good. The mango habanero sauce was hot and great. The guacamole as over as it was 8 pm when we visited.
