Bistro Bar Tabac reviews
17 Bistro! Open late-ish!
Friendly staff, thoughtful service, delicious food, conveniently located at the subway, live music some nights.
This place is 100% as if you were in Paris, except the waiters here are friendly! Great drinks, ambiance and food with fair prices.
Stopped in here for drinks and appetizers and sat at the bar. The lighting is low, music at a good level, & the service was great. The calamari was perfection, French fries were pretty basic for truffle fries. But overall this is a great spot for quick bite, a date night, or solo dinner/drinks.
The food is solid and the vibe is great. Especially on a nice summer night when you can hang outside. When I’m craving a steak tartare, they pull through. But it’s a hit or miss with service. Sometimes the service is really slow (not enough staff). Sometimes the staff is rude (tried to get a table and the hostess couldn’t be bothered). Other times they are really pleasant and you want to hang there all night. So it’s a gamble on what mood they are in and who you get.
Great french bistro with particular focus on brunch on Smith street, with live music and delicious eats! Extra points for the on tap Kronenbourg, helps feeling right back in France
Better than expected. Calamari wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, but also surprisingly tender. Shrimp was solid. Staff were great. Atmosphere is a little cheesy. All in all had a positive experience.
Great ambiance and amazing live music. Seems like a blip of a Parisian restaurant in Brooklyn. Food isn’t bad, but is mediocre for what I’d expect from the prices.
Went for brunch - simple restaurant inspired from French brasserie. No frills place that does the job and makes you feel in a true brasserie. Dishes were quite good, coffee was decent but nothing exceptional.
I love this place. I have only been here for drinks but I made a point to come back. Love the little bar reminiscent of French tabacs (hence the name). Pleasant staff, charming barkeep, and highly recommend the Cobble Side cocktail- G&T with basil.
Loved the atmosphere of eating outside, and the food was really good, especially the salads and the snails!
My favorite French restaurant. I always get the hang steak and calamari. Highly recommend!
Some classic French dishes here, I love that you get the options for sauces on the moules-frîtes!
Went with my family, got seated immediately waited for a while for a server. Watched as other people with bigger parties get seated and served. After 45 minutes and never being served we left and went to a different restaurant.
Such a fun place to go to. The staff is super friendly, the vibe is very cozy and lively. I️ dream about their muscles in white wine sauce. Definitely a go to restaurant
Solid French. Delicious mussels and frites. A good charcuterie board. Great creme brulle. Not overly crowded as well.
My experience with service was great, however I noticed that the table adjacent to me waited a rather long time for someone to come and greet them.
The band was spectacular and the food was phenomenal.
Used to be a favorite! Now they’ve got QR code menus and refuse to give you anything on paper. Kills the cozy atmosphere & will isolate community members who don’t use smart phones. The last thing I want to do when walking into a quaint bar-cafe is to immediately open my phone. Please bring back the real menus! Then I’ll be back
