My husband and I had our wills and health care proxies prepared recently. The process was efficient and we received excellent advice. The attorney we met with was Bruce Kaye who was assisted in the process by Lorena Mottes. I would highly recommend using the law firm for your needs.

The Twin Towers have played a large roll and held a level of importance in my life from the time I watched them going up as a small child till September 11,2001 when I watched them come down as a man.
On Sept 11th, 2001 when the Towers came down, I felt the same tremendous loss and pain that we all did and my position with AT&T afforded me the ability to go onsite and help. Mine as many people that worked the pile runs much deeper and still haunts many of us with the physical pain we now suffer as a result.

After much personal reflection and inner debate, I finally realized the time had come for me to abandon my overwhelming hesitation that uniformed services needed the help of the WTCHP and the VCF more than I. I had been previously diagnosed with Stage 4 clear cell renal carcinoma which had invaded many other organs. During my surgery I had a 15cm tumor, my right kidney, gall bladder, crown of my pancreases, 50 cm of my colon removed and my duodenum, vena cava and other impacted areas repaired. I responded well after the 12 hours I spent on the operating table and 4 months in a hospital and rehab facility. Although my recovery was extremely long and difficult, I made it back to a normal life for a period of time. I finally realized I could no longer walk this path alone and reached out to three law firms for counsel. During my initial conversations with each I asked specific questions about what documentation would be needed for me to be granted access to the Health Program services.

Each of the firms obliged my request for information and during that conversation I asked each, to please not call me back I would reach back out when I had the documentation required. Only one of the three firms honored my request, that being Barasch and McGarry and specifically Melissa Kaufman the initial 9/11 Outreach contact I made. After doing additional research on the firm and a follow up face to face I had found a new group of friends and family that I knew would advocate strongly on my behalf, to date they have most certainly met and exceeded that expectation.

Now that I have found out my situation has once again changed for the worse Mike Mendez is guiding and advocating for me once again. I have full trust and confidence in team Michael, Barry and their fellow partners have built and their continued and strong caring, compassionate and paternal advocacy of the entire 9/11 Community.

Choosing a firm to represent you in any matter is not a decision to ever take lightly and I strongly urge anyone who was impacted as a result of 9/11 and their presence to do your own research.
