Barber Bart, New York NY

I really struggled with writing this review because I never ever write negative reviews. But I was not happy with my experience. I’ve never had a barber not do what I asked because of a time constraint. I know it’s Covid, and appointments are only 30 minutes long, but I think that more effort should’ve been spent in that time. I can’t believe I spent $50 on this cut, when it doesn’t even really look like I got a haircut. It’s not the worst haircut I’ve had, but I didn’t even get the front lined up. Disappointed, I’m sorry.

Bart and his team are the BEST! I have now been getting my haircut there for 13 years. I would strongly recommend!

I first started getting my haircut at Barber Bart back in 2009 when I first started working in the neighborhood. We moved our offices to midtown in 2011 but I won't change.
At Barber Bart I'm made to feel like a valued customer, even like a member of a club.

I’ve been frequenting BarberBart for over 10 years and it’s the best little barbershop I’ve ever given my business to. Highly professional and attending to every individual detail that I as a customer have. It’s a cozy little barbershop, but that’s a feature not a bug and is highly desirable.

Always great service and the best cuts in NYC. The staff are top notch, and have developed my style. I always enjoy my experience.

Nice and skilled people. I go here twice a month and I really like the way they treat their customers and how awesome these people style and cut my hair.

Overpriced. If you are going to charge a premium fee, you need provide a premium service and your barbers need to have that skill set. I frequent many barber shops in the city, and they were below the quality than what I would expect. Cool shop.but that shouldn’t exceed the service.

A very bizarre experience indeed. Walked in and was told I had to wait 30min as I had no appointment. I was actually offered coffee while I waited, but it was close to dinner time so I politely declined. 30 minutes later I was told they had no time for me and asked if I wanted to reschedule. It was just a haircut, so not sure why they wasted my time. Bizarre.

Consistently solid haircut and service. Great on-line appointment system means no waiting or rushing. The shop/staff is also welcoming. I get the sense that other places try too hard to be vintage, modern, edgy, macho, hipster, etc. And the shampoo girl is legit.

Nice people and good haircut quality. I have a big scar on the head but Bart was able to give me a great hair cut that conceals it without looking strange.

What a great barbershop in gramercy/flatiron! The place is clean, sleek, no fuss, with a very friendly and down to earth staff. I've been going here for years (seeing Anthony who is amazing) and you always feel like family.highly suggest if you're looking for a great shave/haircut in NYC!

Best haircut in years! Anna does a warm welcome and a rockin' shampoo. Eddie is clearly a master barber. Finishing off with a straight edge razor and hot towel was a perfect end. If you are in the area, you owe it to yourself to make an appointment and be taken care of.

Been going for years. Bart runs a tight ship w great, trustworthy staff. Eddie gives a great haircut and shave. It's a sliver of civilization in the wilds of Gramercy.

Top Shelf - Bart & his team are terrific, not only do you get a great cut or shave, but they offer bourbon, espresso and fun banter which really raises the bar. All around a great experience.
