Barcade reviews
16Great location, convenient midtown bar with great atmosphere, bartenders food and games. Worth the visit for all arcade fans.
Very fun place for a night out. Good drinks, decent games, nice ambiance. Went for a birthday party and loved it.
Awesome fun - super friendly staff and really good value. $10 got us about 2 hours of fun and the game selection is great! They also had a good selection of drinks and the food is good.
Came here after a bad bar experience. The bartender was great - very attentive and great service. Love the feel of the place. Definitely will be back!
It used to be the to go bar after work during pre covid with friends and coworkers. Sadly after tonight’s incident about proof of covid vaccination check at door has totally ruined the evening, we were so disappointed.
Not because we didn’t provide a valid vaccination proof, it was because the establishment rejected the following:
1. The NYC Health certified NYC COVID Safe App with official immunization record and photo ID were not good enough to enter the bar.
2. IDNYC, ID card issued by New York City were not good enough to use as ID.
I mean, seriously? This is not the first time we’re showing immunization record and photo ID through COVID Sade App or with IDNYC ID card. We never had issue entering all bars and restaurants that we’ve been to so far, why here at Barcade?
Regardless of what the reasons were, we’re not going back to this bar again. In fact, there are many bars around the neighborhood like Oscar Wilde or Eataly rooftop bar that accept NYC COVID Safe App and IDNYC, ID card.
Good beers and dope arcade games. What could be better than that? !
Well, maybe if they turned the music down so you don't have to scream to order a drink or talk to your friends. I had no voice the entire next day.
Loved the choices of games here. The bartender was super friendly and everyone hanging out was chill.
Loud i had a headache so not the place but food was good beer was good and everyone was having a great time
A Bar and Games. What's not to love. The Japanese single "arm slide" machine is loads of fun. Kinda like wario-ware style minigame competition with another player. Tetris always a classic. Love that there a table between the machines to place your drink comfortably.
The venue did not accept NYC ID - and a small group of friends and I were unable to enter. Why does this NYC business not accept city identification? They want to screen out those not wanted? I felt let down, and dont want to visit this business until it changes its policy.
The arcade games are very retro, they weren't fun to me. Food was alright, prices are pretty standard for the area. Its very much a couples/tinder meet up vibe, not good for groups of friends looking to party
Absolutely had a blast! What an idea! A BARCADE! Got to meet some friends I've been gaming with for nearly 20 years and what better place than the Barcade in New York City! Drinks were reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed their hard seltzers! The games were reasonably priced, and we all enjoyed the extremely large selection they had to choose from. Can't wait to come back!
Excellent bar service, arcade games must be played with tokens. Most games take 1 token, with pinball taking 3. ATM available if you don’t bring cash (only dispenses $20 bills, though).
I have always found Barcade to be a fun time. Games like Tapper and Mrs Pac-Man can’t be beat. Not to mention, they’ve got a great beer list.
One of my favorite places on the planet. I joked to my now husband, back when we were wedding planning, that we should have the reception here. He rightfully noted that I would have all my favorite people there and I’d be ignoring them to play Ms Pac-Man. Yup! Beer + Galaga = heaven.
Definitely a fun spot! For a date. A chill out wirh friends. And a good time! Lots of fun arcades and good selection of beer! Highly recommend and will come again! $10 bought me more than enough tokens for a handful of fun!
