Best bartenders around. All of them are fantastic and if you like video games.this is the place to be. People are friendly and always looking for a player 2.
Bonus points since their playlist and beer selection are always fresh and fire too.

I generally love Barcade but this was too small, dirty, and the service was so-so. There are too many other fun bars in the area to visit again. Oh well.

An adult version of Dave n Busters. Super cool they had games I haven’t played since I was a kid. Takes me back really awesome

Haven't tried their food but it does look good. I usually go here once a month after visiting the nearby business. They have a lot of retro games that are fun to try out, my favorite is Streetfighter Third Strike. The controllers for all the games I've tried are very responsive EXCEPT FOR that one machine where you can pick out of a long list of games and you get a short timer to play. I tried to play Super Mario Bros 3 but it was completely unplayable so that was disappointing as I wanted to see how much it would cost me to beat it that night. 5/5 I strongly recommend you try this place out

From unnecessarily overly hostile security to music that is so loud you can’t hear the games! Not hearing the games REALLY defeats a lot of the fun! Lower the music significantly!

Games are fun but have had frustrations with one of the bouncers. They’re not all like this, but one of the bouncers consistently has given me a hard time whenever I’ve come after work. I will usually have my empty lunchbox and water bottle and each time he asks to look inside both. Mind you I am coming here at 6pm on a Wednesday. I’ve been to three other Barcades and none of them have ever asked for this.

A couple games were eating our tokens, but had no signs marking them broken. Not a huge deal, but never fun to waste money. Otherwise we had a grand night playing all the games

Prefer the midtown location. More open space, and seemingly more games.

Most arcades token operated.taking 1-2 tokens for most games. Tokens can be purchased from machines throughout the space at 0.25 cents each. (4/$1,20/$5.).

Service at the bar and front door were good. Our ID's were checked upon entering at 3: 30pm. Not sure if this was for all locations, or specfically for downtown as our ID's were NOT checked in midtown earlier that day.

Great beer selection. Beer prices were fair (for NYC) at about $9. Pints for the more common weaker stuff (under 6% or so) and 10oz.pours for the stronger stuff.

Given the average prices for beer and food, you'd definitely want to go there for the games.think of it is an arcade that serves beer and food.not a bar/restaurant with an arcade.

A better happy hour special (currently it is $1 off beer) may attract bigger crowds.

If you love retro games you'll like this place. It's a comfortable environment and everyone I've met there has been as friendly as they can come. You buy tokens to use the machines giving you that old school feel; If you're like me and love playing pinball there are tons of machines for that here as well and they're all well maintained

When looking for a bar to come to as a regular, I look for on that has a great theme, a wide selection of drinks and food, an excellent service. Barcade has hit all of those points with flying colors. The idea of a pub and an arcade in one might sound childish, but this is anything but that with the age minimum and their game selection (which is both diverse and awesome). The selection of drinks is superb and compliments their objective and atmosphere. And finally like the drinks, the games are reasonably priced, with most being 25 cents per game. Overall, this place is perfect to unwind after a long week and to stimulate your inner child.

Couldn’t hear the bouncer due to the loud music. One second later the dude accused us of being drunk and flipped out. Why even have a dude like that?

Local for retro gaming enthusiasts! The street also offers many interesting ideas to see a bit of nightlife and very interesting typical shops!

I didn’t get food during the day time but I was just impressed by the gaming collection and how funny and enjoyable the environment was. From the energy and aura to the bartender Aliyah, she was a funny and energetic person that I just was able to grab a drink and have a laugh from her. She is definitely a good reason on why I would head back there again because of the excellent service with Aliyah!

Doorman was rude for absolutely no reason (it was barely crowded, near closing and we weren’t rude ourselves). Floor is sticky and the music is too loud. Went on a Saturday night — it’s probably an OK spot to go during a bar crawl or earlier on in the evening (it closed at 2AM on Saturday). I won’t come again.

Best Barcade with the better surronding area/vibes and the best selection of games.

Just saw that they added Marvel Vs Capcom 2, probably the definitive barcade to go to now for fighting game fans.

Fun little spot with old school video games.
I like to use it as a pre-game spot. They serve drinks of course.
