Hamburger Restaurant Bareburger reviews
16Part of a chain. They offer a selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. There is a nice selection of draft beers. This location is distinguished by outdoor dining that is on an elevated outdoor patio. Much nicer than dining on a busy sidewalk or in a shed.
Food was great, service was amazing the bartender does basically all the jobs in one. Def would recommend trying the Bison and making some changes like no veggies, brioche bun amongst some of the changes
We were given dirty plates to split up our fries and there was some rotting food on the wood table where we sat so the cleanliness wasn’t the best but the garlic aioli fries were FANTASTIC!
A very nice burger place with some rather exotic (elk, bison, ostrich, boar) options for the meats. A good place to come for dinner with some regularity.
Stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed delicious burgers, fries, and salads. Service was friendly and unobtrusive. Vibe was relaxed and warm.
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS BURGER JOINT FOR 3 YEARS NOW, THE WAITERS ARE ALWAYS NICE, ALWAYS HELPFUL, AND THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD, PLUS IF YOU ARE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD IT IS AROUND THE CORNER FROM NYU COLLEGE, AS WELL AS WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM THAT, THIS IS A GREAT AREA TO RELAX AND CHILL AFTER HAVING A GOOD MEAL, WITH A FRIEND OR SPOUSE.
Missing food and when I called the restaurant to notify the girl who picked the phone was very rude and hung up on me. 6/26/22 @ 9: 22pm
This place was terrible! It is expensive and has very small portions. All of the burgers don't even come with fries and to get them is $5.50 and they give you approximately 8 fries. The buns were soggy. The waiter was amazing however. Bar food for gourmet prices.
This burger was absolutely terrible, truly shocked to see such high reviews for this location. You could clearly tell the burgers were either frozen overnight or just not fresh. And the fries - you could actually taste the old oil they are cooked in. How do you mess up a burger when the name of your establishment has the word burger in it!? The draft coke was good, that's why I give this place two stars! Better off going to Shake Shack, so disappointing!
Very good burger but took a good around 10 mins before orders are taken. Burger also took nearly 15 mins. Didnt get told the happy hour nor asked how the patty should be cooked whereas the table next to me got so. Sweet potato fries were breaking into pieces and sticking to one another.
Toller Laden!
One of the best vege burger i had in town! We all agree.
But as soon as you finish your food the waiter come with the check. I had to ask for dessert. And he bring the check another time juuust after brigning me the dessert.
(And the place was 3/4 empty) No sense.
Always disappointed with their burgers and prices. With so many New burger places in NYC there is not need to go to this chain.
Good experience in general! Food was good, although I believe it's quite overpriced.drinks didn't excite me but that's personal taste. Our waitress though was really helpful and kind, she was a doll! ️
This would be a five star rating if it were based on the food. So, if you order take-out, this should be a five-star review. Otherwise, being physically here is awful.
I waited about ten minutes from seating outside to even getting water. A few minutes later, I was offered food and refreshments. A few minutes after ordering my wine (half off, and a great deal at that), I was told the bottle was out of stock. No big deal, but the staff should be aware, especially on a Friday.
Once my second choice was delivered (a delicious cab, which I do recommend as the food/drink here are still excellent), I had the unpleasant experience of having a lipstick stained wine glass. Not great.
I have to admit, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious. I ordered the Forager and it was juicy, flavorful, and worth the money. The sweet potato fries were crisp yet fluffy, tempting you to believe they are bad and healthy for you at the same time.
At the time of this writing, I have been sitting inside, with my card on the table for over a half an hour. I have not had a waiter check in with me at all. I was literally able to write this entire review without anyone offering to refill my glass, take my food away, offer me a check, or just check in.
In summation, the food was excellent. The service was horrid. Order takeout if you do not want to be disappointed.
EDIT: I brought this up to my waiter. I requested to speak to the manager multiple times, but he said that the manager was unavailable and instead comped my meal. I would like to come back because of how healthy and delicious the food was, but then I would have to deal with the (hopefully-improved) service. Take that with a grain of whole-wheat. I have updated my review (from 2 to 4 stars) to reflect the management’s response to the situation, which was handled professionally.
