Barnsider Smokehouse BBQ, Lake George NY

Food was decent but way too much sauce on ribs. Good bbq ribs don’t need to be smothered in sauce. Mac and cheese was dry and little flavor. Sautéed vegetables were great. Nice atmosphere.

Excellent. Bit of wait for our food last night, which was weird as we were one of the last tables being served. All in all a very very good restaurant, would definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed eating here. Food was tasty: recommend the sliced brisket and baby back ribs. It wasn't too crowded at dinner time on a Tuesday, and we just waited 15 minutes to be seated. Food came shortly after we ordered, service was great.

We ate here when they were about 1/4 full, so definitely not too busy. Waitress didn’t come to the table other than when she gave us our food. Never refilled drinks, waited a long time for our drinks and food. Food was mediocre. Had to go find the waitress to pay since she never came back to our table.

I recently visited this place. And I sat for 45 minutes to receive my order completely cold. And not have the advertised ingredient on my Chicken sandwich that I ordered. As well as my girlfriend's order came out cold, and she ordered brisket with her order and was charged for it. And never received it. Not at all what I expected from a place that was highly rated by a friend of mine. I was very disappointed at my first visit and experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Barnsider on 7/13/23, as I found the food and service to be superb. I had 6 of the bone-in chicken wings in a mild sauce, which were juicy and tender. Also, I had Sliced BBQ brisket with French fries and sautéed vegetables. The brisket tasted good and was moist and tender.
Our waitress provided excellent service and answered any questions that we had. The decor was cool, too.

Incredible burger and ice-cold beer! Staff was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was fitting to the menu!

We are attempting our first vacation with our dog. It was nice to find a restaurant that was pet friendly. The staff was great towards us as well as our dog Mia.
Allie, our waitress was fantastic.
The food was delicious and plentiful.

Waitress behaved like shé was doing us a favor. I ordered the Prime Rib special from the crumbled, and stained paper menu we were handed. "We're out of the prime rib" She replied, "but the place only opened an hour ago" I retorted. I end up settling for the bacon cheeseburger.
Burger was an overcooked hockey puck, and the bacon looked old. The fries aren't worth mentioning either. I didn't want to ruin my wife's day, so I just beared it. I Grade it F for failure. Never to return.

If you’re looking for authentic barbecue, this is not the place. The food isn’t bad, the homemade barbecue sauce is good, but the ribs were a little dry and overcooked. The meat didn’t fall off the bone, were not flavorful, nor were they served hot. However, I did like how the cornbread and coleslaw were light in flavor/texture. I also liked the rustic setting/outdoor seating but the High 2-person table was a bit uncomfortable and made it difficult to eat. Overall, Friendly staff and short wait time.

Got takeout while in lake george. Food was great. Fall off the bone ribs. Pulled pork Mac and cheese. Baked beans and corn bread all good. Come back every year.

Service was great, quick friendly and fast. It wasn't my favorite bbq and the Mac and cheese like others stated wasn't the most flavorful. That being said everything was hot and the portions were reasonable. I would try again maybe not on such a busy time

Nice barbecue restaurant at Lake George NY. We had the 3 meat platter and the chicken, baby back ribs and brisket were delicious. The baked beans were the best part of the meal.

My husband and I visit frequently Dine-in & Takeout the food is always fresh and delicious! The sausage is a must have I don’t quite care for sausage but have at least 2 every visit. Great service!

Food: very dry BBQ, didn't taste fresh.

Service: servers were nice, but service was slow and unattentive.

Atmosphere: it looks like a place you should get good BBQ, table was broken and uneven.

It has alot of potential but they clearly don't put in the effort.

The restaurant was crowded so we were pre-warned the service would be a little slower. However, it took us 45 minutes to get our food while others who were seated after us got their food first. We felt it was do to the color of our skin. Once my boyfriend got his food it was all cold he didn't even want it so they refunded him for his main course. I ordered 2 meats special and had to pay an extra $3. With so much going on we packed up and left I didn't even eat my food there. Got home and I only had one of my meats. I was so irritated cause I live an hr away and had I lived closer I would've def went back. All in all this was my 2nd time there and I thought this experience would be better but I wasn't. I won't be going back.
