Working with Jaynie at Basswood was wonderful all the way through the process. Communication with Jaynie was great and whenever we needed to make changes to what we rented, she was beyond accommodating!

We rented the Sophie settee and used it at our sweet heart table, and it put the vibe to the next level. We also rented black linens, glassware, candle stick holder, and bud vases.

She also did our florals and we were beyond impressed in how they turned out! The pocket square florals for the guys and myself were so awesome. And my mom’s wrist corsage was epic, it was secured on a nicely covered snap bracelet! The snap bracelet made it so easy for her to wear!

Jaynie was amazing, she made everything about my wedding day as seamless and stress free as possible. She is extremely organized, helpful, receptive, and was definitely the kind of person you want to be around on your big day. Everyone warned me "something will go wrong on your wedding day, something always does and you can't worry about everything". Well, I cannot believe I am saying this but not a single thing about my day went wrong. Everything was taken care of. I didn't have anything to worry about. Thank you so much Jaynie for the most amazing day of my life, it wouldn't have been what it was without you!

Our relationship would not have survived & our perfect wedding would not have happened without Jaynie at Basswood Events! My husband & I have been together for almost 10 years, engaged for 3. I was always very vocal about wanting to get married but not wanting to plan a wedding. What initially started out as a simple private ceremony & small get together at my husband’s favorite Henderson Harbor spot spiraled. Before I knew it, I was planning a backyard ceremony, a wedding reception for 100 people & we were 3 months away. I was full of anxiety, making lists, watching social media reels, looking at Pinterest, ordering things on Etsy. I needed sleep & someone to organize us. We just didn’t know what we didn’t know – we needed a wedding planner.
I immediately set up consultations with 4 – Jaynie was my 2nd meeting & I knew she was our person. During that conversation, Jaynie eased my stress by being prepared, offering ideas & solutions to the things I was worried about. When she asked a question & I said, “I don’t know” (Admittedly, I said that a lot) Jaynie was quick to come back with “how about this? ” or “how about that? ” Communication was excellent, her ideas amazing & she solved every single problem that came up with speed, professionalism & a dose of much needed comic relief. Our backyard ceremony was beautiful, the flowers & décor were perfect, she made our guests feel like they were there for a truly special event (hello, champagne welcome drinks). Jaynie also made the most adorable baby’s breath collar for our Black Lab Archie – you can check him out if you follow Basswood Events on Instagram, which I highly recommend!
Jaynie handled our wedding reception, 2 weeks later, with the same ease. She efficiently turned a restaurant into a wedding venue, despite the many obstacles in the way. During the party, Jaynie jumped in helping the servers, filing water glasses etc. She would also randomly but stealthily appear asking us if we ate, if we needed a drink, did we have cake? Having Jaynie there allowed me to spend the day visiting with my best friends – it was one of the most special times of the day & I got to have that because of Jaynie. I am emotional just thinking about it, the day goes by so fast so to be able to have that time was such a gift.
I guess this was a long-winded way of saying hiring Basswood Events was the best decision I made! If you are looking for a wedding planner look no further – I could write pages more about how wonderful & perfect Jaynie made our ceremony & reception!

I didn’t think I really needed a wedding coordinator, but let me tell you.do yourself the favor and go to Basswood Events! I can’t tell you how much stress Jaynie took off of me, allowing me to enjoy my day to the fullest. If I had a question, she was able to find an answer quickly. Along with communicating with my other vendors to come up with the perfect timeline for my day, she had incredible items available to rent that just made the “look” of my day that much better! Jaynie came to me with things we needed for the wedding that I didn’t and wouldn’t have thought of! We are very grateful for her hard work.

My husband and I rented our beautiful bohemian, fringe chargers, our rust colored table runners, and our entrance sign easel from Jaynie for our August 13th wedding. We could not have been happier! Jaynie and Basswood went above and beyond when it came to our wedding. Everything was delivered and ready for us to set it all and make it our own for the day. All of the pieces we rented were immaculate and gorgeous, and added that little bit of flair we were looking for.

I used Basswood for some of my wedding décor and trifold centerpieces. Jaynie did a great job designing the trifolds, making sure they matched the wedding theme and the wording was beautiful. She even added a special touch for our favors, donations with a QR code so guests can also donate. Very accommodating and friendly! Thank you so much!

I’m a baker/ decorator and have worked with Jaynie on several weddings and styled shoots and she is honestly so amazing. Her own wedding she planned was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. She had me make mini homemade apple pies that gave a personal touch. She is organized, detailed, and knows what she is doing. When talking back and forth with Jaynie, she is incredibly thorough and makes sure she is communicating all of the wants and needs of the bride and groom. I plan on having her help me one day on my own wedding, and hope to do desserts for many future weddings to come that she plans.

Basswood events was our wedding day Godmother! My husband and I got married at the Emerson Park Pavilion, which required us to set up and take down all of our decorations. We knew we needed outside help with decorating and that’s where Jaynie came in! Her style, ideas and thoughtfulness when it came to our budget was greatly appreciated. She set up our centerpieces, signs, and dessert display items meticulously, and took everything down that night per the venues request. Jaynie was a huge help throughout, which allowed us to spend our time enjoying our day! When I was looking for a day of coordinator for my wedding day I came across the Basswood Event Planning website and I am SO glad I did. Unfortunately, Jaynie was not available for our wedding date but she told me the other services she was able to offer including rentals. I ended up renting almost all of my decorations from her! She has pictures of everything on the website and even offered to set up a time to show me everything in person just to be sure I got what I wanted!
