Bay View Family YMCA, Webster NY

This is a smaller older facility that makes up in great staff. If you are looking for a quieter less congested "Y, " this is the place. Also, If you have a child, there swim instructors are leaps and bounds better than what I have experienced at other newer facilities.

So many fun and exiting things to do and explore, our family loves it here! Everyone is so friendly and easy to talk to and the prek, before care and after care team is amazing!

My favorite Y as it has great instructors, nice outdoor pools and splash pad. Nice outdoor property with climbing wall, picnic tables and outdoor covered shelters. There is also bay access and or course on site and school childcare and great summer camps.

The YMCA is an essential part of my wellness and social interactions. I value the cleanliness, order, friendships and quality of instructors. I am a water person and especially look forward to Mary C. Encouraging, caring, devoted to wellness and just a lovely person. Thank you YMCA

Family friendly, great staff. A variety of different machines to workout on with no problem

We started coming here after moving back to the Rochester area and finding that our local branches had both closed - we actually signed up at the newer Y (Schottland), but found this branch to be much more personable and welcoming. It echoed the experiences we'd formerly had at the Monroe or Clarkson branches. The facility could definitely use some updates, but everything is usually very clean and the staff (and regulars) make it feel like you're exercising with a group of old friends. They genuinely care about each other and about their clientele.

I also can't say enough good about the outdoor pool, which is available on weekends for general use during the summer months. It's large, cooling, clean, fun, and feels safe.

My three minor complaints are (1) the indoor pool is constantly too warm, but it's nice for those who water walk, so I can't complain too much; (2) re the outdoor pool, there are often people who show up and place politically themed shirts and flags and etc.near their lounge chairs that don't belong in a family area and none of the staff say anything; and (3) I don't see classes on the schedule that I'd want to take, like the cardio dance option available at some of the larger suburban branches, so I haven't been able to participate in anything structured.

Love this y and staff. Not as fancy as some of the other ones but definitely cleaner then aine of the fancy ones. Great to go with the family inside and out.

The most friendly Y in Rochester! The place is small and older but the people are wonderful. I wish it had e-gym but the pool is clean and the life guards are wonderful. The reception staff Kristen and April are so Pleasent and Susan who cleans is a joy. Facility could use some updating!

Have been going sense October. The Bay is very clean. Locker rooms and showers are spic and span. Exercise equipment is up to par. Employees are helpful and friendly. You get out of it in what you put into it. The pool is awesome!
