My friends and I have been going here and B&B on and off since High School. The food is rich spicy braised meat, high effort rice dishes, and vegetable sauces. The conversation is in many languages. I like to sit by myself, I notice others do too. I am really grateful for this place because I can really feed myself good food. Many eating places seem to do the bare minimum, so it is amazing to find a place where you can buy mountains of delicious food made with love.

Excellent flavors and variety. All of the meats are incredibly tender and often fall right off the bone.

I absolutely love this place! It’s a hidden gem in the middle of it all but on a street with less traffic. You pay by weight. The food is very authentic and it’s like home cooking. The fish has bones in them and there’s more adventurous options like pig feet and animal intestines. Everything tastes good and they have very cool options like baobab tree fruit ‘lassi’. Such a cool place to experience something different and the price is more than reasonable. Customers there are all very casual and friendly and it’s a good vibe.

This place is brilliant! I was here for a casual lunch with a friend on the weekends and their food trays were filled with fresh food and none of them looked empty/sad. It has everything, rice&beans, chicken, fish, salad section, fruits, and of course all the African specialties as well.

It’s buffet style, which I love because then I can try a bit of everything and they charge you based on the weight at the end. Today I got some fish, chicken gizzards, pig feet, fried chicken, avocados, rice and of course some veggies. So yummy! It came out to be around $10 for me but I imagine someone with a bigger stomach might spend closer to $15 but it’s very affordable for midtown NYC.

There’s also a drinks section where you can make tea/coffee yourself.

Will be back!

Went in on a whim after walking by it many times and got a sampling of some dishes from the buffet in a small container. I have one regret: Why didn’t I get twice the amount of food? It’s delicious and such a deal. I’ll definitely be back. And yes, many things are not labeled, but if you ask, someone can tell you what’s what.

Probably the best African restaurant I have been too! Love everything they cook! Keep it up and thank you for the amazing experience! I wouldn’t have known how great African food is if I haven’t tried this place. Have been going there once 2016!

I love the food in this place! Their turkey stew is sooo good! Last time I had it was before the pandemic. I went there the other day again after like 4 years. I found out they moved. Before going there, I called and asked if they had the turkey. They said "Yes". When I went there they didn't have it. That was a disappointment! But everything else I took was amazing! From the rice with lamb, meatballs, spaghetti, chicken, beef and other things! Can't wait for them to bring back that turkey though!

Giving this 5 stars because of the ‘homey’ service and great prices! Its a cafeteria style restaurant where you pay per weight. The food was definitely authentic and tasted alright in my opinion. However, dishes weren’t labelled so it was hard to tell what you’re getting

I came here for a quick dinner, and boy did it not disappoint!

It was me and my boyfriend's first time trying authentic African dishes, and we were blown away with how delicious it was!

The staff were super friendly in helping us choose what to try!

There were a wide variety of options to choose from, with the price being $7.99/lb so it is a self-serve meal.

A must come again for us!

Dropped by for a quick lunch since this was right next to our hotel. Lots of authentic West African food. They have toned down the heat for Western palate but the food tastes great nevertheless. They offer a wide variety of meats - chicken, lamb, beef, fish. I enjoyed the jolof rice. Limited options in main course for vegetarians. Decent dine-in space but it's the quality of food that stood out for me.

Great selection of chicken, goats, beef, fish, curry, veggies. You pick the food and pay by weight. Very convenient. They even have microwave to heat the food if you like it piping hot. I will definitely come back.

Found this amazing place walking around Manhattan. Food is buffet and seats are available. Friendly ladies who will explain to you what's available. Lots of meats and vegetables. I'm Malay/Southeast Asian so this is my first time tasting African/Senegalese food and I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely delicious food.
Makanan Halal kat sini mesti cuba kalau sampai New York, support tempat ni. Tak pedas, tapi sedap. Bawak je chilli sauce. Makan pakai timbang, 1lb=USD7.99.

AMAZING. Wide variety of West African food, including thiakry! Okra sauce, mafe, yassa, cassava leaves, black eyed peas, sweet potato leaves, pepper stew, fried plantains.all of the goodies. Lots of vegetables. Buffet is hot and fresh and cheap and delicious. Right around the corner from Penn Station. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in the city.

This place has absolutely authentic african food. You can tell because everyone inside is african, and my girlfriend and I were the only non africans in there. The food spoke for itself and was absolutely delicious.

The place is a buffet style establishment where you pay per pound for mixed food (7.99/lb) and you serve whatever you want. They have a wide variety of meats and rices that were all delicious. I got around 2 pounds of food and was going to explode by the end. It was all absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend everyone to try it at least once.

Also they only accept card if you spend at least 7.99, so be wary.
