Beach Cafe reviews
15I got a drink at this bar when they were hosting a politician doing a campaign event. The place is really quite small and we had trouble finding a place to stand where we would be somewhat out of the way. Additionally, they played music kinda loud when the candidate was trying to talk. Overall it seems like a nice place to eat but it doesn't work for political rallies.
Food had no taste. The waiters are rude. The staff discriminated against me because I was wearing a headscarf. Definitely would not eat here again!
Such yummy food, incredible burgers & fish n chips, and such kind, helpful staff! Their brunch menu on the weekend is so delicious and tasty too! Definitely recommend if you’re in the neighborhood!
Reliably excellent. Fantastic Cobb salad. Always ahead of the curve in terms of the entire experience. I love to eat here (should really go here once a week) and just ordered delivery last night and was impressed at the effort made to bring the meal intact.
This is always a satisfying meal and experience
Zionest owned isreal aparthide owner with our tax dollar scam money. This made up German oven leftover children country with our tax dollar. #FreePalestine!
I was very pleasently suprised with my experience at Beach Café. Came in randomly and found a table right away on a Saturday night. The burger and fries were suprisingly tasty for a very good deal. A random but nice fact: the bathrooms were also very nice. Service was quick too. Will definetly be coming again!
= Generally accessible with great outdoor seating
️ = Great memosa brunch option for couples and groups. I've been going here for years, and the service and atmosphere is great. Be sure to eat outdoor seating if available.
**A Day to Remember at Beach Cafe**
On a sunlit morning, I decided to venture out to Beach Cafe for brunch, and boy, was it a decision I'll cherish for a long time! Imagine my delight as I approached the venue, met with the soothing shade of blue from the decor, reflecting the calmness of the nearby sea. The setting was like the backdrop of a dream, where you're on a tranquil beach, with the gentle waves creating a harmonious melody. But the real magic began when we were introduced to our waiter, Títu.
From the moment Títu greeted us, his warmth radiated, reminiscent of the feeling you get when reuniting with an old friend. He had this contagious energy and enthusiasm that can only be compared to a spirited horse galloping freely in the wild, exuding pure joy. Every interaction with him made our day brighter.
We weren't just any other customers to Títu; we felt like esteemed guests at his own personal gathering. Each dish recommendation he made was accompanied by an engaging anecdote or a delightful little story, giving us a deeper connection to our choices. When we were in doubt, Títu would describe the flavors with such passion and precision that our taste buds would tingle in anticipation. And let me tell you, his recommendations did not disappoint!
When our brunch spread arrived, I could see the echo of the serene blue ocean in the presentation. There were dishes garnished with edible flowers and herbs that seemed to dance on the plate, as if caught in a gentle sea breeze. Everything looked so tempting that for a moment, I didn't know where to start. But with Títu’s gentle nudge toward the house specials, we dove right in.
Now, while the food was certainly a highlight, what made our brunch even more memorable was Títu’s impeccable timing. Just when you'd think of asking for a refill or wonder about the dessert menu, Títu was right there, as if he’d read our minds. It was like watching a well-trained horse at a show, gracefully leaping and prancing, meeting every cue with finesse.
During our time at Beach Cafe, we learned a bit more about Títu. His love for food, his journeys, and his stories about the sea. It was more than just a dining experience; it was a storytelling session, a journey through flavors and tales of the vast blue ocean. Before we realized it, hours had passed, and we were sipping our finishing drinks, basking in the afterglow of a delightful meal and even more delightful company.
As we prepared to leave, Títu, with his ever-present smile, handed us a small card. On it was a beautiful sketch of the Beach Cafe, with a horse running alongside the blue waves, a symbolic representation of our brunch experience that day.
If you ever find yourself craving not just for good food, but for an experience that warms your soul, Beach Cafe is where you should head. And if you're lucky enough to have Títu as your waiter, you're in for a treat that goes beyond just the palate. Here's to many more such sunny brunches and to the fantastic Títu, the heartbeat of Beach Cafe!
Our waiter, Adam, was exceptionally personable and friendly. Our burgers were delicious. All of our friends, in the neighborhood, have been coming here forever. The prices are reasonable. It is a pleasure to sit in the outdoor cafe on a starlit summer evening. Thanks for a nice evening.:)
Best place in the area for a nice meal.always accommodating, always great food - fast. It's obvious the owner is there a lot and the staff has been there for a long time. Prices are great! Eat outside if the weather permits - the service is just as good as inside. Love this place.
Manager totally rude. We reserved for group of 8, walked in within 5 minutes of our time but they had already seated another group at the table. Only place they could put us was inside where music was so loud, but they wouldn't turn it down out of respect for other guests (there werent any.but manager said there will be other guests "later. ")
When we reserved Manager said he'd need the table for another group of 8 within 1.5 hours. But when we left, there was no other group of 8 where we were originally supposed to sit. What a disrespectful, unwelcoming host. Would have left but we had 2 young kids and a 99 year old in our party.
Total disappointment in service, we had to shout above the music to get server's attention. Most blame goes to the crabby manager who set the negative tone from thr start.
Really enjoyed the food here.the Lobster Roll and fries were delicious! The service was nice and we loved one of the waiters there he has a GREAT personality with good customer serviceThis was our first time in New York! Tried this place twice!
Had drinks and appetizers - excellent- Best bartender in NYC, Vanessa- My new favorite in the City!
A friend and I go to this place very often as it is in our neighborhood. They offer nice menu and we love the tuna salad and the drink prepared by Chris, our favorite bartender. Chris s margarita is fabulous, one of the best ever in this city and he is very friendly and fun to be around.
The place is cozy and pleasant with nice people.
Well recommended!
We initially ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs off the brunch menu. They served cooked salmon mixed into the eggs. The smell and taste were of old fish. It was really off-putting. Asked to speak to the manager. Told him that the menu said smoked salmon. This was cooked. He said that's how the kitchen prepares this dish but allowed us to change. We changed it to avacado eggs Benedict. Meh! Edible, but meh!
They allowed our parties to stay for over 3 hours without a fuss, which we appreciated a lot.
